There's a link on the Old Sage message boar. You can't miss it smiley - winkeye

Beleive me Avatar, I can get you a -lot- of feedback on this. All I need is plenty of willing opponents. I got scenarios and stuff thought up already, I need a chance to excercise them, like smiley - winkeye

Yep. Might take a bit of time for me to set up that immense tank-heavy punch-up I'm planning, but it's gonna happen.

I just need to motivate my opponents. There are so many armies in my vicinity...Imperial Guard, Orks, Chaos, Blood Angels, Ultramarines, Tyranids, Chaos (+ cultists). Which Chapter(s) was on the Hive world place, Avatar?
Actually, I should check myself *^_^*

I'm not really bothered which chapters are used, mainly to get more people playing, so i'm assuming its a crusade army, with lots of chapters contrabuting their forces.

I haven't had any battle fleet gothic reports in yet, I don't play it myself, any of u guys wanna fight an ork/imperium mission for me?

Well, that Urchin fellow who I may have already mentioned has Battlefleet Gothic. He doesn't play, doesn't know how two, and hasn't painted the ships. But I could sort that out. I'm interested in seeing how well I could paint one or two of those things.

But methinks my reaction times for this will be a bit off. You may not ever see a BFG mission from me, so don't get hopes up.

Hey Avatar - you know that "where our res=earchers from?" thread you started that turned into a monster and now sits on the front page: is there any credit to you on Peta's version of it? I don't think there is. That's bad.
ffmike was pissed off that his idea of the summary had been nicked with credit to him.

Look on the h2g2 front page, should be on the "world of h2g2" bit.

I've just written an article of 40K quotations (incomplete). Judging from the size of it so far, you lot may think it's sad, but I've been getting some great ideas from it.
Avatar, you might end up with a whole sub-campaign for your thing smiley - winkeye. Have you told anyone else on h2g2 about it?

What a happy and joy-filled page!smiley - smiley I always liked that Inquisitor one, that went something like "Some may question your right to sacrifice millions of innocent lives. Those who understand realise you have no right to let them live!". That's so cold-blooded, it's cool.
Has anybody got the original WH40K rulebook? The one with the funny pictures? Which causes migranes?
I'm looking at it now, and my head hurts, I tell ya...

What, Rogue Trader? You've got that?! You are cool!

Actually, you probably told me you had it somewhere in this thread *^_^*

I've got some second-edition 40K books in this room, and they still have some old pictures in there. There's one that looks remarkably sci-fi: in the top-right there's a Genestealer in the rafters in the corridor, and in the bottom there's a space marine helmet. A splash of blood shows that the Genestrealers just done a job of breakibg his neck. However, another spazzy marine stands at the end of the corridor, successfully plugging a bullet through the genestrealer's rotten head.

Who's seen the picture of the Genestrealer Magus and the Terminators? smiley - winkeye

Is that the cool one where the Magus is doing some kind of psychic attack, and there's marines with the eyepieces of their helmets exploding, and one Terminator with no helmet with beams of light coming from his eyes and screaming mouth, and all the time there's a Grey Knight standing in the foreground, deflecting the blast, and he looks friggin' solid, and you know that the next thing he's gonna do is stride over to the Magus and smash him to pulp?smiley - smiley
I remember that marine smashy-helmet picture. It rocked!

Yeah, both those pictures are amazing. There are still some gems in the back-catalogue smiley - smiley

I liked the one where they had the same scene in two pictures. One was of a Terminator Liberian - the old, cool one with the psychic hood round his helmet - marching down a corridor, his storm bolter raised, while a Genestealer prepares to spring down on him from a hole in the ceiling. The second picture was of the Genestealer looking down on his prey. That was cool. Kevin Walker is Godsmiley - smiley

Think it was in one of the old Space Hulk manuals. I'm surprised they didn't use it more, to be honest. It kicked ass!
While we're talking about GW art, you know that funny picture on page 49 of the 3rd edition rulebook? That was in Rogue Trader. For years me and my mates have stared at that picture, trying to work out what the f**k it's meant to be. What do you think?

Uhm, thatr's a picture of Sisters of Battle fighting Tyranids. Not a bad one actually.

Methinks you got the page number wrong smiley - winkeye

Damn. Ah, it's page 49 in the rulebook in the first edition to come in a box, the one with the Blood Angels on the front. Which edition is that? I dunno.

Blood angels on the front of a rule book, that will be 2nd eddition, i think, urg i haven't looked at it for ages, and the covers gone which dosn't help. Mark gibbons probably the best artist they had, pitty he's gone now. The one bloke i don't like is John blanch and his coffe fetish.

I haven't told ne1 eles on the site about the campaign i couldn't find ne1 eles who was interested in 40k smiley - sadface

Could i ask a favour, e-mail the link to every 1 u know...its a biggy but i need more people, though i have had another report in, wha hey!

I only know 1 other person who plays 40K and is on the net. I'll tell him anyway, maybe he can play some games against his dad or something.smiley - winkeye
John Blanche was a bit suspect, really. That Blood Angels cover for 2nd edition was the best thing he ever did, in my opinion. The cover for Epic 40,000 was a bit of a nightmare, with that poncey-looking Marine commander who seemed to be wearing not a cloak, but a fur coat.smiley - sadface That was weak.
Was Mark Gibbons the one who did that famous Necromunda rulebook cover, the one with the Goliath shooting the crap out of something?

Mike A (snowblind)

Hey Avatar, I've got my first battle report ready for ya. I need to email it a bit later. It may read a bit poncy-like, but ho-hum...

Mark Gibbons...I don't think I liked him. It was his style. Wasn't he the one who did almost all the Blood Bowl pictures (in the latest edition)? If so, then I don't like his stuff smiley - sadface
John Blanches early works were a bit poor compared to what they're doing now. And he's meant to be one of their best...
There are two guys who I absolutely admire, though I can't for the life of me remember their names! *^_^*
