If we all did that we'd never get anywhere!

Would you all like a clue, in that case?

Argon0 (50 and feeling it - back for a bit) Posted Jun 11, 2010
Nah, I'm alright, although I would have got a Klaxon by now if I were still playing...

Clive the flying ostrich: Amateur Polymath | Chief Heretic. Posted Jun 11, 2010
Well I'm going to give you a clue anyway. You can't do it in the countryside (where it isn't illegal, practically by definition.)

I may have it!
(or a klaxon!!!)
I do not know (forgotten) the correct term for it, but is this QI anything to do with the 'Urban Running' craze???
Are the objects on a course of some kind, where you have to get a card marked, proving that you have been there??

Iain Banks has written about his propensity for Drunken Urban Climbing, which is something that I've indulged in in the past . Is it related to that?

Massachussetts Avenue connects them. Harvard square would qualify as the flush toilet. The MTA Orange line is all above ground, Police cruisers all smell like Harvard square ... and MIT is indeed the place where you can find some really stupid scientific ideas, like putting a smelly police cruiser and some bent tinfoil on the roof.

DGI +1 for "urban" but not running!

Welcome to QI , Kilted.
Have a DGI for "putting a smelly police cruiser and some bent tinfoil on the roof." I am impressed you know of it's olfactory qualities, been up there yourself?

Harvard Square, yes, and Mass Ave, and in the river Charles. It all smells of a public toilet, just like the police cruisers. But the answer to the question is ... (Drum roll, please) All have door locks that will only operate from one side.
