*sits down too*
Is it actually titled that way in the UK - Dr Zhivago's Lover? In Sweden, it's just Dr Zjivago

No, but I did sneak in a bunch of , onion rings and milkshakes in my big winter coat with many pockets. I hope no one minds pocket lint on their cheeseburger.

Heck, I'll risk it - got any burgers to spare, FG?

Do you have a burger with bacon on it? I need a fast breakfast.
I'm having a hard time locating a copy of the film, but it is on Dish Network this month - although not at a time when I can watch it and since I don't know how to set the timer on the vcr that's out. I may have to order it in from Amazon. I'll buy it for the library and then check it out to myself. I have one more rental place to contact first.

If you have satellite tv, Hypatia, your satellite remote should be connected to your VCR (*if* you went through the whole set up process). Therefore, it should only be a matter of selecting Doctor Zhivago on the satellite guide and pressing the record button on your remote. Of course, I could be wrong....
Shall Sporky or I come out to help you?

Okay, see if this makes sense to you, H (or you can enlist F's help):
On your satellite remote there should be a "Options", "Home" or "Search" button--whatever will take you to Help. Select Help, then choose "Setting Up Your VCR" (or however it is worded). The system should walk you right through it. Of course, you can always consult your owner's manual as well. Basically, every model of VCR has a code number that will allow it to respond to the satellite remote. You find your code number, punch in the numbers (after holding down a sequence of other buttons) and voila! All you have to do from there on out is put a tape in the VCR, select what you want to record from the listings and hit the "Record" button on your satellite remote. Doctor Zhivago, here we come!
Sorry if this is off topic, folks.

It worked?!
I'm renting it tonight at my favorite little video store, Crystal Video. They specialize the hard-to-find movies.
