Don't tell them about collective or they'll all come and swamp us!

AK - fancy that! Posted Nov 30, 2003
Why did you even make this entry?
Anyway h2g2 is more of a general site... and more widespread, and in fact I believe the colors are better.
Issn't collective greenish? Don't remember. But still. We have 3 skins here anyway, have you seen them all? And collective if I recall has the really bad s... instead of the yellow ones...
The reason I'M not on collective- I don't care for the content...
ITs not that collective has a higher class of conversation, its that you haven't SEEN the higher classes of conversation here... because the site is much bigger...
See h2g2 is like a seperate world... and the long names are your status... its jsut for show, who really cares what other peopel think of them names? Its fun!
h2g2 is not going away... we've got far far mroe people here, and I think we're growing at a faster rate... not sure though but we get at least 100 new researchers a week possibly even up to 1000...
Who cares if collective thinks they're better? Its not better, its jsut *different*
I'd love to rant about how h2g2 is better.
On Collective, is conversation always abotu the same general topic or something? How... sickening...... boring at least...
?

oh and astrotomato is not really considered a silly name... much...

Oh yaaaawwwnarama.
The simple fact is that were it not for h2g2, there would be no collective. Point final.
People may have longer names here, and the conversation may be more 'erudite' on the collective, but if you're sooooo happy there, why come to h2g2?
The simple fact is that each is a different community (look at the other DNA sites) which has grown a different way to h2g2 - and quite rightly so. If you don't like it here, the door is always open for you to leave...
You may be happy on the collective, but never, *ever* turn your nose up to those who are happy on h2g2. You may hate the fluff here, others find solace in it.
Hit and run....

The collective is far superior for it is not as protentious.
Whilst people on the collective have discussions about topics - some that don't matter, some that do, it is always done in a friendly and interesting manner. None of this one-upmanship nonsense you can see on h2g2!
Why we even thank each other for disagreeing sometimes....its like a lovely forum eutopia!
LONG LIVE COLLECTIVE!
Wow - I feel like a school kid having a fight in the playground again....great stuff
Hit and run....

excellent. I was going to come over and say that you all smell, but you're writing my script for me:
"We have 3 skins here anyway, have you seen them all?"
No, I haven't. The Jones family lives next door, I prefer to keep up with them
"you haven't SEEN the higher classes of conversation here... "
Ummm, have so. Have even - gasp - joined in quite a few. I've even - stage gasp - mooched around and seen some of the huge variety of things that go on here. Like a cartoon strip. For a year. OK, so a year isn't as long as you lot who were posting here before the internet was invented, but I think it's enough time to get familiar with the site.
"h2g2 is not going away"
Didn't ask you to. Just said Collective is better.
"we get at least 100 new researchers a week possibly even up to 1000 "
Er, and? Ah, sorry - my Dad's bigger than your Dad. That's the right response, isn't it?
"The simple fact is that were it not for h2g2, there would be no collective. Point final."
And if it weren't for slavery there'd be no black people in America. So, all those black people should show some gratitude to the slave traders and bigots. Right? Right? So what? If it weren't for Romulus and Remus, there'd be no London. Am I supposed to worship at their shrine for ever more, and always consider Britain to be part of the Roman Empire. "Point final."
Please, post a few more comments. It makes my childish acts of net war much simpler.
Or... as I've spent over a year reading stuff on this site & taking part in conversations.. perhaps you could pop over to Collective, and engage with us there.
Hit and run....

Bunch of agendaed prats on h2g2.
Not the class of collective.
You please yourself Astro.
They are a coarse bunch.
You'll notice Bush House steers
well clear. Too true they do.
Would you want to be associated with
that crewe. Terminal career move I would
say!

Why are you still here? I'm repeating I realize, but why? Hoping to convert us? But we're rabble, you don't want us "smelly" lot on Collective.
And you yelled at us for one- upmanship and here you are one-upping Collective.
Chill out a bit. Each to their own. What's so wrong with us enjoying ourselves?
Shhhhh
Frankie Roberto Posted Dec 3, 2003
Haven't you heard, Shazz? I work for the 'collective post' now...
P.S Funny you should mention my dad and collective: F128714?thread=351881
