I'm amazed no-one seems to have mentioned Danger Mouse - that was my favourite cartoon when I was growing up 
.
The voices by Terry Scott and David Jason, and the plots that managed to be silly but still tremendously funny. I have to admit I have some Danger Mouse on video, and can't wait till I have kids to introduce them to it, too.
One cartoon I haven't seen anything of for years is Count Duckula - another one of my childhood favourites, but this seems to have disappeared

Danger Mouse has come back on BBC2 recently. It is just as great as I remember.
And I'm with Rains on Duckula (more Bavid Jason there by the way). A Duckula video was one of the first I owned, almost wore a hole in it!

It's weird how Count Duckula seems to have vanished into thin air - there isn't even much on the web about it.

I know! I did a google image search for him the other day and could not find a decent picture of the vampire duck himself.

I have a workmate who looks exactly like "Nanny" from Duckula!
Danger Mouse was great, but also, in my opinion, takes the award for "Best Theme Tune" in this category!

I'm just watching Danger Mouse, featureing what must be the first appearance of Count Duckula, presumably the famous ones "father" though.

Two great cartoon there. I loved them as a kid. They should be brought back. Kids tv's just not what it used to be.
