I'll have some tea, if it's no trouble, Bluebottle.

As will I. There's nothing better than your tea, Bluebottle, especially when surrounded by goo.
Was that really Jar almost disrobing in here a little while ago? Last time I saw him he was leaving on some type of walkabout or quest or something. He said he wouldn't be back for months, then none of us were back for months.

The mass banishment kinda took away JAR's thunder, didn't it.
Finished digging out from last week's *snicker* snowstorm, d'E?

Or he knew something that none of us did.
Oh the snow here was terrible. We had at least 3 millimeters. It was by far the worst storm of the century (all 2.5 months of it).
Did you get any snow at all?

Witty Moniker Posted Mar 14, 2001
It snowed for several hours Sunday evening, but melted as it hit the ground. It didn't even stick to the grass.
It was ~very~ windy, tho. My house faces Barnegat Bay, and one of my bushes actually blew away. It was a sickly Scottish Broom that needed to be replaced anyway. It had lost it root system and couldn't take the strain.
There having a re-naming contest over at the F***m & F****n. Seems that name has some trademark issues. I wonder if this might become the Aromatic Cafe?

Or maybe something with some historical significance, like the "not yet open cafe." But with Irv gone, who knows when it will be renamed.
Sorry about your shrubbery.

*slams open the door and enters at a run. Jigs up and down for a bit and notices she is alone. Looks twice to make sure and...*
WHOOPEE! WE'RE BACK! YES!
IIEM I'll have a coffee please, now I've got that out of my system. White, one sugar. Thank you very very much. *strokes machine absently*
*notices the drinks... dithers abit and pours a generous slug of each into the coffee. Saunters over to the couch and sinks back into the cushions with a hugely satisfied sigh*

IIEM, espresso, please.
*sits on a sofa and stares in a dead point*

ohmygod, people.
*prods One Eye and Hatifnat a few times to make sure they don't go away*
*beams even more widely, if possible*
Hey! You guys are the first people I've talked to since we've got back. Isn't this great?
*notices that Hatifnat does not seem so hyper*
What's up?

The place has changed.
Most of my conversations are gone, my favourite bar is gone, some of my best friends haven't shown up, my entries are pending somewhere, my cactus garden will be destroyed (no pics!).
I feel miserable.
I guess I was just too optimistic.

I feel for you, though I don't know how you feel. I'm in the lucky(?) position of not being all that creative, so I haven't really made anything at h2g2, just participated in some conversations... The conversations will be put back up, I think, when the moderators have been through them.

Well, yes, there is that. Aren't they going to stick the conversations back up when they have checked them thoroughly for unamerican sentiments and links to porno sites(which will probably take them into the next century, but hey)?
The cacti garden will probably need replanting, I agree. Look on it as a chance for spring cleaning (do I sound disgustingly cheerful for 10am or what. It's the caffine, I assure you).
I don't know about you, but faced with this unequivocal ban on swearing, I am faced with an almost irresistable urge to let fly with a string of expletives.

Well, I haven't been very creative, too, but these few are invaluable for me.
Conversations - do you think they're *clean* enough ?
Aroma Café Lazy cats and Hot toddy
Hati Posted Mar 14, 2001
No, 1i, I'm afraid that I have been dirty. Hanging around the bars and so on, you know.
My cacti, I can't replant them, I got them from a friend outside the BBC and they are forbidden now or something like that.
I tried to read the new rules and about the moderators etc. But it was too much for me and my poor English. I was even wondering when they kick me out of here because of my misspelling .

WHAT is going on???
Why I get Socket Error all the time? I've been trying for 15 minutes and now I feel frustrated
