Oh, gosh!
I have looked around a bit now and theres a lot of things amiss yet.
Most of my old conversations are gone, and my pictures aren't showing and so forth.
I can't find the Ateliere or the Forum&Firkin. And I do so want a glass of

Oh dear,
What a mess. I hate cleaning but somebody has done a lot of it. And all those complaint buttons make me insecure. And my favourite places and ... OOOOHHHH!!!!

Well, I see the bell's still here.
*reaches into here tote bag, extracts large bottles of rum, gin & vodka and places them next to the IIEM*
I know Irv has a 'no licquor' policy, but I think we're entitled to a dispensation in order to adjust to the changes.
Help yourselves while I read through the house rules.

Oooh, don't mind if I do..
Just a quick one before I have to go.
Is "Aroma" a trademark? If I have understood it rightly we then have to find another name for the café.
Hmm.

IIEM: ice tea, please
*pours 2 fingers of rum into the tea and sits down*
Well, just waded through the house rules and moderation guide. I don't see why we can't have off-site pics on our pages.

Hi WM! Enjoy the Rules ?
*fixes self a *
Could Aroma really be a trademark? I thought it was just a word. To be quite frank I don't see how any words could be trademarked.
Well, it's good to be back, even though things have changed quite a bit

Hi there I've been to an aroma café IRL, which looked like a chain, so they may have the name trademarked...

IIEM, coffee please
/* Grabs a bottle of whiskey and makes the coffee Irish */
I haven't read the backlog, but I think "Aroma Café" is a real place, so potentially trademarked. But a trademark is only enforceable if it the use can be confused with the real thing. Thus "Apple Computer" and "Apple Records" can both use "Apple" (although they have fought it out in court).
Does anyone here think they are really sitting in a real café somewhere drinking real coffee?
(Oooh, I've been waiting so long to do that!)

It ~is~ good to be back. I don't mind rules, they serve a purpose. I just thought the ones we had were good enough. One the the reasons I like h2g2 so much is that everyone here is so civilised, compared to many other places, both on the net and IRL.

Funny thing, but last thing I remember, I said I would be back by 1 o'clock, but that was a couple of months ago! My my...
Hello everyone! Welcome back. My, it has been a trip, hasn't it?

It has, except for him over there.
He got locked in the café while it was shut.

I agree with WM - the old rules were worked fine, I think. But what the hey. No rules against at least
Gotta go, see you all later!

Toodlepip!
Some rules are a bit silly though. I mean, how can you have a guide like this (think of an encyclopeadia (sp?)) without images from other sites? h2g2/BBC can't host all the images, surely!
By the way, does anyone here know how and why the older threads were removed? I'm guessing it was done on purpose. It's just that there are a lot of my old threads (from my user page) that I'd like to have back...

It could be a downloading time issue rather than a matter of hosting everything.
As for the older threads, they'll all be back soon enough. They're just being checked over.
We're a more public site now.

G'morning everybody!
*deep breath in*
Sooo nice to be back! And too think we are no longer a homeless people, wandering aimlessly around the 'Net with no place to rest. No place to order the Usual (IEM: Please? Bar the music.. Thanks!). But now; Home! I can remove my robe!
*proceeds to remove robe, notices he is completely nude underneath, quickly decides to keep robe on*
Hmm... I'll be back once I've changed.
IIEM: Could I have that to go? Thank you ever so much.
*man leaves, mumbling "now where did Ping go?"*
