Aroma Café: The Fellowship of the Latté

JAR, in reply to your greeting a while ago, I'm fine, although w*rking, really nice weather today, but I was not too happy this morning, when I discovered that the company running commuter trains have gone back to summer time table, with a train every 30 minutes instead of 15 minutes during rush hours. With everyone back to work after vacations, the trains still running get very crowded...
Hi all that have joined since I last said hi!

Titiana, you live in Sweden, no? That would explain the trainproblems. Scandinavians (bless us) are probably the worst at mass transit in the world... I've lost count of the times I've heard "it really is an improvement to the overall mass transit service!" when a bus-route is cancelled...
Oh well. At least we don't have blockades here. At least not yet.
Don't take w*rk too hard. Tell yourself that anything you do right is a favour from you to the company, and anything you don't do, or do wrong, is the companys problem. I do that. They still want me to stay... They don't know...

Ah, hello everyone! Having a nice day are we?
Just thought I'd pop in for a drink...lunchtimes in the office in RL are so expansive!
IIEM, a sweet tea if you please...
*sits himself down at a table...*

Well, we're still in the recruiting phase at the moment, but everything's looking rosy!
You should pop by the page some time...there's news of a new game engine for Unreal...see the pictures - they're wonderful!

Good afternoon everyone, or whatever time it may be
IIEM, latte please.
On the subject of public transport - here in Stockholm, the commuter trains were actually running fine until the beginning of this year, when the company running them was sold to a French public transport company...same goes for the subway. I'm not sure of your exact location, Titania, but judging from the train problems I would guess that you're somewhere in my vincinity.
*sips latte*
Mmm, good. I should come here more often.

Hi Big C!
Yes JAR, I live in Sweden, and I am constantly amazed when I see the ENORMOUS masses of people being transported within the Stockholm area every day.. 621 000 people per day!
Hmmm, interesting work philosophy you've got... are you sure nobody will notice?

Beutifull picture. (the bird view of the castle and the bridge) If the h2g2 version get that beutifull, I just might buy the game just to see it all. Good luck in your project!
IIEM: A drink for the Big C. Make it... uhm... Calypso, only without the alcohol, but with some kind of tasteaddon that tastes like the alcohol...
*IIEM starts humming*
*continues to hum*
Gulp...
*A small china-cup, brimfull of something that might just look like coffee with cream appears in front of the Big C*
Taste it. It's wonderfull.

Yeah, you're right...that picture is marvellous... You should get the .mpg file from the article...it's around 40egs, but worth the download! It hows the new aniation for the models...the faces alone have 40 bones!
The expressions he puts on his face are fantastic!
Oh, and Titania...you needn't worry...no one here in the offices notices a lack of work from me!
Well, I am only on W*rk Experience, but still...

hehe.. my philosophy has worked very well the last six months... Nobody has complained yet...
You're kidding about the 621 thousand people. Is stockholm that big?
*feeling rather small as a norwegian now*
*sips tea*

Jezzball....hmm....isn't that the one where you have some little balls bouncing in the screen, and you have to close off areas of the screen so they can't get out? Something like that...

My dad managed to find a petrol station with enough to fill up his tank...
Lucky for him. Apparently the number of gallons in the coutry has dropped to below 1 million.

*removes bad accent*
Actually I'm just checking out your entry on the Surface Area of a Torus. Puzzles me. Now I wish I paid more attention in the math class...

Chris Tonks Posted Sep 13, 2000
We've got enough fuel in the household for a couple of weeks...
The public'll give up soon enough...
Aroma Café: The Fellowship of the Latté
Peter aka Krans Posted Sep 13, 2000
You're looking at my entry? Yeah, I got bored in a maths class, and came up with that... basically, it's possible to cut a torus and unbend it so it turns into a rectangle...
Aroma Café: The Fellowship of the Latté
JAR (happy to be back, but where's Ping?) Posted Sep 13, 2000
The public shall never give up. Never I tell you !!
(Remember the French revolution?)
Krans: Yeah, well I'm trying to remember my math from back when I still studied it. A pity I didn't care about math then... Make a rectangle of a torus? Hmm... Is this possible to try with, say, a doughnut?
