Well, Half-Life...
Erm...the security guards are called Barneys, and they're well, a bit dim to say the least...
No offense to you naturally...I just thought that if you knew Half-Life, it would be a silly thing to call yourself...

No, I'm thankful to say, I'm not Half-Life. Sometimes I'm a bit dim, but I try and hold it together. I like to think I'm rather smart, but there is debate up and down on that one - it depends on who you talk to Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than open it and prove the point.
Actually, dim people annoy me - its a personality trate I'm not always pleased about, but its part of who I am. I don't suffer fools gladly, to say the least.

*Puts v/_\3 on*
I'm not going to be about much this week...

Chris Tonks Posted Sep 11, 2000
*OK, I don't know the relation here, but still...*
Well, do have a nice time eh?
Looks like someone else'll have to put the v/_\3 on...
Do we have an automatic timer around anywhere?
Aroma Café: The Fellowship of the Latté
Bluebottle Posted Sep 11, 2000
Automatic timer?!?!?!?
You can't make a great cup of tea with an automatic timer - it has to be man-made using eye and instinct, and no machine can do that. Making tea is an art - it's not something that can be timed. Did someone hold a stop-watch to Leonardo Da Vinci when he was painting the Mona Lisa and say "I'm sorry, but you don't have time to finish that smile - just leave a pencil line and no-one will notice the difference"? And frankly, what tastes nicer - the Mona Lisa, or a c)_( of tea?

Chris Tonks Posted Sep 11, 2000
Well.....
*I bet you were expecting that answer...*
OK, no timer..but someone'll have to be appointed 'morning tea-maker'! We can't just leave the place vacant like this!

Howdy, JAR and Big C...what's going on? Did BB finish that tea or is it self-serve time again?
Bluebottle, are you here?

JAR (happy to be back, but where's Ping?) Posted Sep 11, 2000
Thanks. I needed that.
Tricks?
*wonders about some bit of lingual trivia he hasn't learned*
Just tired. Very. I've become a kind of tudor at w*rk, and I'm not really qualified for the job myself. Kind of a big responsebility for a poor civil servant to train a russian civil-engineer... Call me exhausted. To my face. I can take it.
Anyways. only half an hour until the day is over and I can get some sleep.
But I forge myself: How are you?
JAR, failing to be polite
