*reads 'Dr. Who reruns: You have been warned'*
That's great! Wonderful job, Loony! I love the bit about the same clearing used in Bonanza and F-Troop!

Yes it certainly does. And of course in those days everyone who had access to a TV watched each and every programme and then spent a lot of time at work/school the next day discussing every naunce. More innocent times indeed.

I was wondering if Ook was every going to come down
Well, I need to do a little bit of RL, so I'll see you all later.

Thanks for a fun afternoon!

And now for something completely different. In New Zealand today is a holiday incongruously named Queen's Birthday Weekend. The Queen's real life birthday is, I believe, in April.
I have just been scanning the Queen's Birthday honours list in the newspaper. Alas my name doesn't feature... again.

See you Redbeard!
IIEM, the Ook Special please.
*IIEM dispenses melons, guavas, mangoes, bananas*
*Ook comes down cautiously, takes a blanket off sofa, piles up the fruit and scampers back up*
Timid fellow, aren't you?
OK, you can nest up there. *moves bin underneath* rinds and such in here, OK?
*changes filters and cleans IIEM, then puts it on autopilot*
This cafe is on self-serve.
*heads out the back door*

*walks in after missing all the fun *
IIEM - Tea in Courtesy's mug please
*gets tea, sits back*
Loreth - you caught me by surprise calling me by my RL name
The *interesting* part of my life is that there is now a very pleasant lady in it

Sorry, Courtesy, I guess I wasn't thinking... Humblest apologies. And congratulations.
And now, for some shameless mockery of the more aged and dignified Researchers amongst us... actually no. But remember, oh more dignified ones, that people are people are people, and naivete is not equivalent or equal to innocence.
And anticoffee please? I ought to go to bed... sorr I missed the race, got dragged off.

*Wanders in for the usual double espresso.*
Morning Courtesy . Double espresso please, IIEM.
Wonder if Lil/Irv/Babel-17 would mind if I reviewed the weekend's events on the video?
*Sits down with cc((~)) and a cigarette to check out what he's missed*

loreth, maybe we should call them gentler times. World War 2 had been over for some time. Though admittedly US president JFK was assassinated the day after Dr Who first appeared on British TV and the Vietnam War was raging...

G'day Blueslider and Courtesy. I will join you in a cuppa. It's been a long day and could be a long night at the French Open tennis tournament. Love 15.

I am NOT reading 9 threads worth of backlog, so you'll just have to forgive me jumping in with both feet as it were.
Any chance of a cup of lemon tea, please?
Monday is not getting off to a good start.

Hi everybody.
Keep using the IIEM, I'm staying off duty a while yet. It's 5 am and I am very groggy. Tall glass of OJ for me.

Hi Lil, IIEM is fine by me. BTW no great secret: [email protected] Then I'll have to get somewhere to put it.

Good Morning, all!
IIEM, a cup of coffee, please!
has anyone ever had the feeling that the website wants you too change your nick?
I mean, when u write a reply, the heading says
"Nickname: XXXX (you can change this from your homepage)"
Maybe it's just me being extremely insecure about my identity....

Nah... The interesting consequence is that researchers use that option like a banner trailing off an airplane. You'll see ads for pages, political statements, virtual titles (patron saints etc.), or plain old news about the researcher in question.
Or you can change your name on a whim, for a few days, or a newbie may decide to make a permanent "upgrade."
Quite effective, actually.
*gets second glass of OJ*

With a nickname like 'Myself' you're unsure about yourself? Now that is worrying .
BTW have you any idea how un-nerving it can be to post 'Good morning Myself'? Feels like I'm talking to myself...which I am, argh! Maybe I should use 'Snata Clasu' instead?
Good morning, Snata Clasu. Ah, that's better .
Key: Complain about this post
