Ta verry much, she said in her best Brummie accent
Is it just me or is this site performing with great speed and dispatch? Or maybe all the daytraders have committed seppuku...

Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Apr 14, 2000
well, they did move the server to a better locale...

Hi, all. Large espresso, please.
I wish they'd move my server to a better place. The city dump, maybe?

I don't understand.
Did they move the information to a bigger/better server? That must be what you mean. It can't make any difference if you moved the server, say from Covent Garden to Bayswater. Although, when I was still ministering to a Wang VS85 on coax, the techie and I were quire convinced that we had problems with data evaporation or condensation, depending on the weather.
Anyway, something good has happened, and I'm glad of it.

There was a blurb yesterday on how they were actually physically moving to a different location -- outside TDV Towers -- with a faster server.

I'd like a cup of hot darjeeling tea, please, and some cucumber sandwiches. Is everyone meeting in Londow for the 1st Anniversary celebration of h2g2? I hear a game of rounders is planned.

I'll certainly be there, w**k and other commitments allowing.
Thanx for the espresso, Irv, i really needed that.

Welcome, and here's the darjeeling tea c(~)
I won't be there, as I'm across an entire continent and an ocean (no matter whether I go east or west).

I'd be there... except wait, wrong hemisphere. And you mean all you other H2G2 people exist IRL? Damn... I think if we could organise a New York event sometime, I could get myself to that. Maybe.
Ooh, more fans of hot white chocolate. I'll have one myself.
Went to my first Phils game this year last night... good game, too, a pitcher's duel. Except the Mets won. Darn.

My pleasure. And I probably wouldn't be going to LA anytime soon, either, if there were a get together there. I am going to be meeting Gw7en in Denver this summer... maybe
