On my way to w*rk today I walked on the other side of the street from the biggest icicle - it used to be about 3 metres utnil a piece fell off, then 2 metres, but now seems to have melted to about 1.5 metres - but the house owner hasn't done anything, not even put up a warning sign, despite the fact that there's a pub in the same building, the entrance only a few metres aside from the icicle, so there's bound to be some coming and going below the icicle!

Reminds me of a "peanuts" cartoon, where Snoopy is sitting in his doghouse, looking up at this big icicle hanging from the roof, thinking "Doomed!". I know the feeling! You had quite a big snowfall this winter, didn't you? It's all gone here where I am. Except up in the hills, so those who like that kind of activity can still go skiing.
