Sorry, I only have the Green Veltlin on stock tonight.
Beowulf, you're only 16, do you have a parent with you? Else I don't think you're allowed in the bar.

You're not even 16?
I don't think you're allowed in the lounge even - or is he?
When I went for a holiday in the UK, my son annd his friend (both 13 at the time) weren't even allowed to order food in the pub. They came back and told us that my friend or I had to go in to order it.

It's all good then, Beowulf.
They weren't allowed in alone, but we didn't know that. I mean, we wanted to have our meal outside, it was nice weather, and they had put up tables for that purpose. You'd think they could have just taken the order for pizzy, but no.

It must have been a very fussy pub Bel - when we were in London last year the kids had no problem ordering coke without us - we were sitting at the tables outside.

Mayb that was because the staff was only about 16 herself.
Or maybe it was because it was in Bristol - that's not exactly cosmopolitan there.

Ahhh a 16 year old can only wait tables - not fill any orders herself - that's the law. When I was 16 I worked in a big complex and wasn't even allowed behind the bar to wash glasses - but carried trayloads of drink (decanted by older people) down to customers.
