Birdy numnum was what the parrot in "The Party" ate, or didn't as the case was.

One thing I'd like to know. In "The Lord Of The Rings" Sam met lots of weird & wonderful creatures, yet the one he didn't believe in were elephants, and they are the only creatures, apart from humans, that still exist today. So, what is it that's so unbelievable about elephants?

They have tails at each end and are very large. Tusks are kinda weird too. Not your everyday animal unless you live where the elephants do. Although, you'd think northern europeans/americans would have a kind of genetic memory, or stories, of the mammoths.

Zed will probably show up when you least expect him, Dr. D.

*The elephants have settled down into a brisk walk that is surprisingly eating up the miles.*

*giant Redwoods lie freshly broken at the trunks along the side of the dusty road*

I wonder what could have done that?

I was wondering where on the planet we were starting off to Italy from. Now, seeing these maginificent albeit smashed redwoods, I can stop wondering. How are we going to cross the Pacific - nevermind, I'll let it be a surprise.

*Spots a gigantic pile of poop among the broken trees.*

I'm beginning to suspect what it is that has come before us.

I assumed we were travelling with Hannibal (not Lecter) from Ancient Carthage on a mission to destroy and burn the evil Roman Empire!

DESTROY ROME! FLAMES! FIRE!

*Blushes hotly, (pun intended) as she remembers BB's proposition.*

Where exactly is ancient Carthage nowadays? Maybe there are transplanted redwoods there now.

Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.")

Somehow I doubt that there are any transplanted redwood trees anywhere near ancient Carthage, being as how the Romans burned it to the ground and the sowed the ground with salt! I think we ended up in Southern California somehow, though how we got here from central Europe, I have no idea.

That would be northern coastal California, or southern coastal Oregon. Maybe these trees are not redwoods at all, but ancient oaks?

(Zonker!! I am very impressed with your game!! You have a wonderful imagination. Why don't you write a book?!!)

I did write a book Marie-rae, that game! Of course, I couldn't put everything from the game in the post (wouldn't want somebody to steal my ideas! Not that I have to worry about anyone from the church doing so.)

Are we there yet?

Marv is becoming ever more saintly, don't you think? I feel much better for that blessing.

Anyway, re: carthage. I guess you did not want to upset the Romans back then, eh?

*Spots another pile of droppings. These are steaming slightly.*

Whatever these trees are, we are getting closer to whatever it is that has been pulling them down. Does anyone hear anything?

Be carefull, Phreds! If it's Humungous...well, he's VERY stupid. Well, not so much stupid. He's the opposite of other elephants...he has a terrible memory. Sometimes he forgets where the ground is. He may not recognize us.

Watch out for his tusks...

Not is he's as stupid as KumaBear makes him out to be, assuming it is humungous.

Nurse! Follow Emma! Marie-rae, don't worry, no harm will come to you if I have anything to do with it!

*Nurse starts forward suddenly, causing the good doctor to fall off of Nurse and into the the same pile that Kumabear is currently residing in.*
