Hey Mr Tambourine Man
Play a song for me
I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to
Hey Mr tambourine man
Play a song for me
In the jingle-jangle morning I'll come following you.

YeeHaw, here we go. Gold, eh? The real stuff. All right, Linus, time for the mushrooms. "a long, long time ago, I can still remember how the music used to make me cry. And I knew if I had my chance... um. Is that even close? I believe an all out drinking party is called for.

........I could make those people dance...*
*And maybe they'd be happy for a while*
*But Febuary made me shiver*
*with every paper I delivered*
*bad news on the doorstep*
*Couldn't make one more step*
*I can't remember if I cried*
*Whan I heard about his widowed bride*
*But something touched me deep inside*
*The day...the music died.*
(I'd love to give the artist......but it has slipped my mind...not hard to do......it was a 1 hit song from the early '70's)
Dr. J......that's mid- sixties! I remember it well!......do you remember "Green Tamborine"? About the same era!

If you can remember the sixties you weren't there. I can't remember the sixties!
Oh, and American Pie was Don McLean, and I think I vaguely recall Green Tambourine.
BTW I have complete sets of Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane/Starship and many others on vinyl. *Looks smug*

I guess I spelled Don MC-Lean wrong. Can you sing "White Rabbit" for us? It's kind of my anthem. ( I mean being Allison Wonderland. )

*has been quietly sitting in the corner sometimes sleeping when others are awake. Just enjoying watching the bar fill up and listening to the wonderful voices. Hums quietly*
"Keep your head"
Hey alicat, if it's your anthem, then you should sing it.

On vinyl, Dr. J?.....you have a right to be smug!!!
Why can I never remember "Don McLean"? I mean, "Five Man Electrical Band" and "The Hollywood Argyles" just come naturally!
Oh...and I remember the 60's 'cause I was just young enough to miss the party!

You should have a talk to Looneytunes, i'd say you have something in common.
I would have loved to have been a Merry Prankster myself, mind you whether i would have survived the experience is another matter entirely !!!

*suddenly filled with inspiration*
"Climbing up on Solsbury Hill
I could see the city lights
Wind was blowing, time stood still
Eagle flew out of the night
He was something to observe
Came in close I heard a voice
Standing stretching every nerve
Had to listen had no choice
I did not believe the information
I just had to trust imagination
My heart going Boom Boom Boom
Son, He said
