Son of a.... I meant to put 1-2 for Blackburn Leeds! It's just my natural bias for putting our scores first...

Yes I thought that it looked like rather a strange prediction coming from you. But hey, who am I to argue with folk's logic, if it's posted I'll accept it

i just had a wee idea as we lost out on a game a few weeks ago couldnt we use the scottish cup matchreplay with everybodys predictions allready in and use theresult at ninety minutes only as to be fair to all who have put down a 1-1 scoreline ??
andy
any thoughts on this or comments from anyone else??

One problem with that would be that the replay is a midweek date, on Tuesday April 20. But in any case, the 'lost' game has now been played, and GD has allocated the points: see the Week Five thread for details. And there are seven games to predict in Week Sixteen, which gives those of us who've been having a bit of a mare a chance for redemption.

i know the game is in mid week but as i said ppl wouldnt have to re submit the predictions as all the predictions are allready in !!

But what if people wanted to change their predictions? Personally, I wouldn't favour including the replay. The reason you've given for doing so doesn't apply as the 'missing' game has been taken care of.

That's right, anything that means more work for me is deemed to be 'a bad idea'
Looking at this week's results, I've just realsied that McKay came awfully close to matching B's record of three straight zeros. If it hadn't been for those 3 points (and joint last position) last week, he'd have done it

If McKay just failed in that attempt, it wasn't for lack of trying. I mean, picking Dunfermline's reserve goalkeeper as a scorer - now that's class.

I know I didn't ask, but as a long-standing participant, you'd think I'd have been entitled to a lucky dip.

Sorry B, but there is no favouritism here. Given that we've got many more active players than we've had in previous seasons, I can't spend my time running around chasing people up.
The message on the page is quite clear - "However, you _must_ give notice on one of the threads that you want a Pools Panel pick"

But I forgot. And it does state quite clearly in my journal (which at least four participants are subscribed to) that I was going on holiday. And, thanks to you, I owe Ormy a fiver.

You shouldn't blame GreyDesk, B. The rules are clear enough.
However, because I am a Bantam and a gentleman, and because I want to beat you fair and square, I am willing to disregard the last two weeks as far as our bet is concerned.
I've got 16 points from those two weeks, so that'd make you nine points behind me as far as the bet's concerned.
Key: Complain about this post
