Me neither. Wouldn't dream of it
OK, now I get it. We need to do non-pub things so that our younger researchers can join in the fun.
nuff.
Just so long as we go to the pub afterwards mind. For a shandy. Or two.

You've still misunderstood. I don't care, it's just my parents wouldn't let me go if you *advertised* that you intended to get drunk!

So does that mean they'll let you go to the pub, so long as you're not in there all day with the rest of the boozers? Myself not included, of course....

Die soft toys! Beware!
(That means I'll be there, ok? Good. Sorry to have interrupted. Please carry on your conversation, thanks.)

Atari, we were all (shockingly) sober and sensible at AT weren't we? You can tell your dad that several of us that were there will be at this meet too... unless you think that might have a negative effect?!

Abnormally sober is the term I would use
Just as long as you have a swing for Ovine Assassin to fall asleep on & remember to carry a watch that tells the time, I think all should go well.

Why would you want a woodchipper in a children's playing area, Sus? That'd just be dangerous...
Atari, I can assure you that I rarely get drunk at meets. I usually don't drink that much. Tracey can vouch for that.

See the top of the thread, Eggy
Since this is a St Andrews day meet, shouldn't there be some sort of Caledonian "bring-along" requirement too?

perhaps? It's traditional at Scot meets (well, almost). Maybe the could dress up to celebrate the occasion... a kilt, a tartan sash, a wee hat...

Hats... Hats. Hats... Hmmm.. I have an idea.. Let's bring silly hats. Preferably with some Scottish theme to them.
Hmmm.. Should I bring my Nessie-hat or my Tartan Jester-hat...?
Oh, Atari, I may have been bending the truth a bit when I said I don't drink. What I meant was that I don't drink so much that I can't get up the following morning to go play football.
