The idea was *not* to have in a pub. The meet got specially requested *because* it wasn't in a pub.

I'm in..
Atari, I think the Pub thing is more of a 'later-in-the-evening' kind of thing. After all, LaserQuest takes its toll, and we'll need to wet our throats after inhaling all that smoke...
Sus, I seem to recall that we all were a bit late to the LQ last time. I think it had something to do with everyone having to wait for some people that decided to pop upstairs for a while.

That's when my parents are coming for thier yearly visit.
They live in England so could never survive a h2g2 mini meet - let alone a Scottish one!
On the up side, they will be bringing my christmas presents.
That reminds me, must practice my excuse for not going home again this year...

Evm the upstairs was upstairs at the hotel before we even got on our way to LQ.
The general consensus was something like this:
"I gues we should head off now if we want to make it in time for LQ."
"Okay, we'll just pop upstairs for a bit to get some stuff."
Ten minutes later I called them and asked if they were planning on joining us....
That's my recollection of it, though. It could have been different.

LQ is a hoot - i went with some mates to one in glasgow in some dodgy back street (at least thats what i remember!) and we had a great laugh.
Unfortunatley there wasnt enough of us to have a session to ourselves and there were 2 or 3 guys dressed like commandos that totally hammered us! Bloody cheek, they could have stuck to going for each other, we didnt stand a chance. Think i got the lowest score!

I har great fun last time around when we went to LQ in Glasgow. It's all recorded in some Meet Log somewhere, though.
Let's just say that accusations about the functionality of the sensors on my vest were made. But then, I can't really be blamed for that, can I? And poor Alan who ended up with sub-zero points....

I think i was more worried about looking like a total tw*t doing the rolling and hiding bit, pretending i was James Bond. Of course secretly I was desperate to be Lara Croft

I ended up doing more of a Terminator impersonation... I just started off at a steady pace and shot at everything that moved... Seemed to be rather successful.

Your backpack was knackered, therefore you were invincible! So this time I'm making absolutely sure your pack works

That story is insubstanciated hearsay, Tracey. No-one can prove that it was knackered, and just cause you can't shoot straight doesn't mean there was something wrong with my backpack.

, Atari! That's really dirty
And as for Mr Terminator over there, do you remember when you let me have a pot shot at you, I aimed my gun 2 inches from your chest and you STILL didn't die?!
