Yes, Arnold. Must be the same pub. Neither Mrsgandalfstwin or I can remember the name of it. Must be ten years since we were in there!!

When we got to the Island all the german bikers got stopped getting off the boat for a drugs search I rode on not getting stopped , later in the week I met one of the german girls (she had her own Harly) and asked if the law found anything ,she said no all their drugs came over a month early

Nice chatting Arnold, but I must away now to my bed. It is 0605GMT.
I had an afternoon kip yesterday, waking up at 2200GMT, and now sleeping sickness is upon me again!
See you later, pal!

I can still see your eyes Gandalfstwin - either you didn't sleep at all, or have left the PC on - visions of 'g' with head on keyboard spring to mind.
Hi AGM - you should use the smiley for your signature, I think it is
and not seen enough. My neighbours with their fleet of bikes are/have gone to the TT. No doubt they will tell me what they did. There are lots of
round here, the roads attract them.

Yes, that crash helmet suits you AGM - how did you get on with your supply shopping? Are imported things really expensive over there?

I don't think it's very expensive , a lot of things I like /want are import only and you will pay whatever ....

True enough - I find that some things are impossible to live without - for some daft reason soy sauce is difficult to get hold of in Lanzarote. I expect you have lots of that there though It is possible to go to a good Japanese restaurant though, but you have to book up way in advance. Another thing I miss is really good cheddar cheese. Its illegal to take any out in your suitcase as well, although I have known people to do so. I don't, I just miss it when I'm there. The only sort you can buy is supermarket quality for 14 /16 euros per kilo. Obviously there are lots of fab Spanish cheeses but they're not the same.

Until last year I could get good sharp chedder(scottish) from Cost Co but now they changed to Kirkland and it's not half as good .
Tea is the one I miss, can't get good regular english tea , I can pay a fortune and get the fancy stuff in tins but I just want regular Sainsbury's red label.
No meat pie's of any kind here , when I go back to the UK I live on meat pie's every meal with chips

One time I was getting ready to come back to Japan went with my mate to the supermarket and bought lots of cheese bacon meat pies etc a big backpack full ,shouldn't carry it in but I used to then put it all in his fridge , next morning stuffed it all in my backpack went to Heathrow then to Japan ,no problem in customs they go for your biggest suitcase everytime backpacks never looked at , anyway when I got home in Japan and unpacked my backpack I found not only all the stuff I had bought but all my mates cheese and meat etc even a half used pack of bacon ,
I did call him to apologize , we both laughed about it .
