Just been for a good walk, partly to see /check the water going into the Tambo, about half are now flooded ours are full, I did stop for a while to watch the Swallows on one field there were two Crows a couple of Thrushes I think and four Swallows, the swallows were very low this time less than a foot above the water ,as they are not flying on my land at the moment I think it's the same ones I was watching yesterday.smiley - biggrin

Sounds like the Swallows are after those juicy and prime insects Moonraker, just above the water, nothing like a nice midge for lunch, lol!
The weather isn't looking too bad here as they said it would be so out for the open air play thing a bit later for some outdoor culture by the river which will be nice.

Perhaps Mr Noisy Boots upstairs was quiet for you then this morning? Or have you gone and bought some earplugs?

Oh I often sleep with industrial eardefenders on as either Mr noisey upstairs comes in late and bangs around or hoovers early moring or kid downstairs is thumping around, at least kids can't help it!
I went to this thing by river which I thought was just actors acting but it was really good fun and a mix of some modern poetry and music like 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' done really well. Most of the actors were older and ,bless some were past their prime, but some were great, the youngest was really good, around age 20, and good at peotry and singing. They put a gazeebo(sp?) up for audience which I would have found claustraphobice so sat next to it and was still shaking and jumping a bit, but really enjoyed it, which the actors seemed to too.
.
It was a really enjoyable hour, much better than I thought it would be and glad I went. Before it started I watched the birds on river, there were around a 100 Canada Geese!
I was watching the 2 Eygyption Geese who seem to always be there and saw a tatty looking bird that I thought was a cross breed of some sort of a duck, however I noticed the eyes and realised it was a young Egyption Gooose which was something I don't think I have seen before, its orange eyes like the adults gave it away.

Typical smiley - bleep British Weather - just when you think its ok to come out of your winter woolies, the temperature plummets by 15 degrees. I hate the cold smiley - brr I'm going to make the most of the two days of summer we have left - it might be the only true warmth we get here.

please excuse the Monday morning blues.

I think I will just sit in garden today as don't really feel like a trip out, but you never know as could easily change mind later and going out once a day is good for me, lol!

All that conversation about the change in the weather has finally forced my to buy my tickets home. I just had a look at a carbon offsetting website - does anyone think this really makes a difference?

I have no idea Lanza, but if we worried over everything we do we would sit at home indoors in the cold and dark. I like the way you call there home, it must mean a lot to you!

Actually, come to think of it Lanza I had my own version of 'home' in a foreign land. I didn't have a property out there but used to go to Tunisia every year for quite a long time.
It seems an odd choice but liked Tunisia for its differantness but without being a long flight away like South East asia. The hotels, the 4/5 star ones are really good for a cheaper price than elswhere. I love big lobbies with lots of marble and piano bars which Tunisia has.
The service is really good and what I really liked was the tourist areas are only on a narrow strip of beach and I could walk a short distance and be in non tourist, ordinary Tunisia which really is quite differant to Britain in buildings and customs.
.
Anyway I can't get on a plane anymore so I off set your flights! I don't have a fear of crashing, death has no fear for me anymore, however my claustraphobia combined with panic attacks make me very likely to be the one who has to be tied to chair with those plastic loops as tried to pull door open in mid flight!!
.
.....even just the thought of a plane entrance is setting me off, lol!
