Tunisia sounds heavenly SS, just my sort of place. It's shame you can't fly anywhere at the moment, but you never know what might be in the future -
And it is my home - I am 'staying with parents' here - since my husband died it seemed the only option. I can't afford two houses.

Ok Gandalf in answer to a question you asked a while ago.
I don't do much gardening and this year is worse than usual, we only have two tomatoe plants growing in our garden , usually we plant egg plants ,pepper, zuchini ochra cucumber etc even tried carrot and potatoe before but just two little tomato plants this year.
I just don't like gardening and I don't like being out in the hot sun at it during summer.
last year my MIL planted many kinds of vegetable and we could pick anything we needed but at the end of the season she just cut and dumped it all as their was too much for all ,I even have pepper in my freezer now from last year and many peas from this year already.
I don't mind work as such just not on the garden , hope that answers your question , I do plan on making green tomato chutney this year as I'm getting low.

They are saying another hot day today, 27-28c which while not as hot as Japan, is pretty hot for here in June.
I have to go to doc's this morning, just routine stuff, and will try to get an early morning appointment when I ring up so I can go out and do something, even if just sitting by river so I have done something.
It seems a bit of a bind to have to ring up in morning early to get an appointment that day but as a lot of appointmentments booked further in advance are wasted as people simply don't turn up and don't cancel, it is less wastful.

Just had a cup of in the garden, surveyed all the w*rk I've done, felt exhausted. I only hope it was worth it! Today I had to prune the redcurrant bush, apparently this helps the currants to ripen. Then I had to swathe it in horticultural fleece to stop the birds eating them all before we pick any. Last year they had the lot before they were ripe. We're using fleece because a bird got tangled in the net we used to use a few years back. I found all the attachments from my old allotment hosepipe and now we can sprinkle the veg patch if this hot dry weather keeps up. (unlikely I think) I had lots of spare tomato plants so have put a row of outdoor ones this year - at the moment they look a bit surprised to be outside. Now I need to

You'd be surprised too if your feet were suddenly planted in a garden, you were tied to a stake, blasted with cold water and left to stand outside in the hot midday sun

I have to stop for a bit now and then, and end up with about twenty or so postings to look at, divided between a number of threads.

You'll have to make sure you're not in an awkward sitting position - especially if you are using the keyboard a lot.

Well Good Morning to you - but I was just about to go to sleep
The weather has been fantastic today, but of course it is England and so, by default, normal weather will be resumed tomorrow,
