Well an even higher rank of procrastinator then. Our skill in the art of procrastination must rank highly amongst the practitioners of the art

*Self-bump*
HPB wrangled me again on msn this afternoon.
I'm coming back and I'm going to finish this!
I can't believe my last serious post was in october!

the job application is proceeding a pace. (I had to re-write part of it - you'll not believe this but the file had become corrupted and converted the entire first paragraph into nonsense.)
I swear what is it with me and malfunctioning computers?

I fear our number have dropped to three, as Mr Legion hasn't posted Since October per se.
I have to admit I'm complete lost now. Could either HPB or Clive give me some idea where you are planning to take this based on the posts you made on instant messenger?
I really like this story, and I've got some weird and wonderful ideas (some of them have admittedly been a bit too weird), but I don't want to tread on anyones toes and if I have some idea in which you are taking this, then I can proceed safely.

WEll we can discuss ideas before re-starting. I feel we'd jumped a rail before, lost our way a little - we have a general outline already and a few set-pieces adn characters waiting in the wings - but what else do you want to add to that mix?

Not to be weird but did you ever ask people who were in the original ST to come back for this?
It's interesting seeing that Demon 'Tony Curtis' Drawer seems to be the only surviving member, except yourself of course Clive.

I think I advertised it several times in the original askh2g2 thread - assuming they were still subscribed or bothered to read it. I also advertised in I think and I also had it in my username as "visit this page" etc.
I also seem to remember postinged to everyones messages centres on their personal spaces advertising that st2 was up and running...
I think that covers about everyone. :::thinks::

Right I'm bang up to date now.
We can definately keep the plane sequence - its just finding the right spot to fit in and writing around it - that will not be a problem.
As for what happens next? Well if we stick with everythign we've discussed Daltmooreby has to arrive in Cairo and at soem poitn rendevous with his son (presumably at a dig site somewhere)
Elsewhere, Mary Vandeveer and the rest need to take the ship, and sale down the Nile presumably (cue a dig at the old Hercule Poirot novel)
Meanwhile X Arthur and Sfret are in the museum - they have met with the curator who knows Richtor but in what capcacity was not clear.
Sticking with Richtor for the moment obviously he can't step too far outside of the events in ST2 - but seeing as Arthur only just read about Rasputin turning the government into chickens, the plot has yet to thicken in ST2, specifically Richter has yet to appear at the hospital with an injured Bob, A1008587 , presumably he contacted Arthur by telgram between learning of Rasputin's return and going to the hospital with Guy. thats the timescle were currently matchign with ST2- shortly we'll be catching up with events underneath stone henge and then the radio broadcast with Guy at HQ.
Anyway, Richtors telegram has more information on it (I suggest flipping it over for a P.S) since now they are in the museum they will need a clue to take them any further. (If we are aping Indianna jones - they will have to break through the large marble "X" on the floor ) and we can begin then with the whole Knight's templar bit segueing into The Da Vinci Code. by the time they get out of the whole armed with the clue that will lead them to Ozymandias in Egypt - The hordes of rampaging rasputin zombies (a la The Mummy) will be beating down the door and it'll be a mad dash through the streets of Paris to escape.
Any suggestion for anything I've missed?
Just need to start - I'll have a stab at it after dinner.

"Oh look" said X "another giant X in the floor - isn't that funny?"
"Hysterical. Can you see anything solid looking around here?"
"That bust of De Gaul?"
"Perfect" said Arthur

Anyways, I just brewed myself a bit mug of coffee and I'm sitting down to start.
Thinking caps on, gentlemen.....

Oh and if anyone wants to rewrite the plane scene be my guess... Daltmooreby comes across as more of a sex-starved pervert than I feel comfortable with.
Key: Complain about this post
