And one or two international teams.
Seriously, I'd have thought green was fairly harmless. If we happen to get a paranoid Rangers fanatic in our midst, we can just say that it's meant to evoke a football pitch. Which, for many people, I think it would.

Were you deeply wedded to the idea of the text having a black border? I think it's better without.
Are you happy with the font? It is VAG Rounded.
I need to draw a new football because the one that's there is borrowed from David Beckham, so to speak, and was never intended to be displayed at a large size. Is the design on the football significant in any way? Do you have a preference?

Oh, and can I ask Number Six when the last time he actually saw a league goalkeeper wearing green was?

Master B seems to be making up his own jokes.
*redirects Master B to A2086247* I did the picture for that too .

The font is fine with me.
I'm not deeply wedded to the idea of it having a black border. I thought that that would be a good idea when I envisioned the banner being mainly text, but as it now seems to be pictures of stuff - ie better than I had imagined - it seems to clutter the picture up.
The design of the football could be problematic. The designs on the ball are most likely copyright. If you go look at diggerent companies balls they all have their own type of design right across their range. The solution would be to make it a generic ball much like the smiley. This is a representation of the geodesic construction of the ball, the rights to which is owned by no one.

I've worked on the badge a bit and I think it's getting to be approximate. Remember to refresh your browser. I'm pleased with the illusion of depth in the middle and I think the off-centre is funky .
If you're ok with it perhaps we can turn our thoughts back to the banner. The important arty bits about the banner are the repeating pattern of the crowd and grass stalks and the symmetry of the players. I want to increase the level of detail on the players - and give them hair and faces and suchlike .
Any thoughts, requests, preferences?

But I'd save a few pixels on the hair .
Are there only four Fantasy Footballers? I was expecting a bigger crowd.
It's a pity about the Share Your Fantasy slogan, but I suppose it was a bit .

I'm slightly concerned the badge might look a little too Celtic, but as long as we have no Rangers fans playing, that shouldn't be a problem.

"homeless"
Do you mean homesick?

Yeah, probably.
Although if you ever see a destitute non-League Sports Reporter on the streets of Leeds, give him a quid just to be sure.

Hmm. Two points
1) how does one tell a non-league sports reporter from anyone else
2) Why would I be in Leeds? Only time I ever go to leeds is to change trains, and I try not to- it's the most irritating station in the country. Well, county at least.

For the benefit of those of us who *are* in Leeds, how would we recognise Number Six?

I agree, the badge is looking lovely. The offset of the football, the football itself and the text is all looking top draw
It's colour? Well we could argue the toss about that all day long. I have no particularly strong opinion about it one way or the other. Thinking of the practicalities, I guess blue and black are out as it will not look good with a Goo background. Which leaves us with only red or green as the options (checks for any Villa, Coventry or Norwich fans in the thread... to them then)
Now the banner. First off, I like the overall design very much indeed
- the grass is good. The colour and the shape looks right
- the text. To me it looks like the same shade of green as the grass. Can we try red again please?
- I definitely like the symmetry of the crowd, but can we bring the brightness up a notch or two?
- the players. I don't think that it's necessary to bring out their features; hair, face whatever. I like the 'genericness' of them as they are. Plus there is a nice symmetry there
Now can you feel a 'but' coming along somewhere? Good. Because there is a rather large one!
Green shirt / white shorts and White shirt / black shorts is the home and change strip of one rather well known football team...

Easy. Green shirt, black shorts, green socks. The green more or less like the darker one in the 'search' toolbar in Brunel, above the 'search h2g2' box. Not even slightly German
