You know, you're lucky you're talking to more or less the only Argyle fan that has no view about the quality of Ginsters compared to, say, Ivor Dewdney's or the fact that their logo means a Cornish flag appears on the Argyle shirt.

I was slightly surprised when I reailsed that Ginsters sponsored your kit. I mean it's not as if you have a particular friendly relationship with your neighbours across the river.
Couldn't you find a more appropriate local sponsor, say, Mary's Cream Teas of Budleigh Salterton or something

I meant cheap in terms of lack of quality. I'm sure they charge as much as they can.

Well, there's not exactly a huge amount of nationally-known companies in the area to choose from... and a significant proportion of our fanbase comes from across the Tamar.
I think the bloke who said "Well, my nan makes the best pasties in the world but she couldn't afford to sponsor Argyle, could she?" summed it up best.
And however better the local competition may be, whatever you make of Ginsters, you have to agree that their pasties are
a) actually made IN Cornwall
and
b) a helluva lot better than the likes of Pork Farms and Peter's so-called Savoury Products.

I have to say, whoever came up with the idea of a contrast between the spicyness of a chicken balti and the blandness of a Pukka Pie pastry is a genius
The best pies I've had at a football match were at Yeovil last month - absolutely delicious

Right that's season eight boxed off.
The mouse-mat prize will be winging its way towards Ormy in the next day or so, and I'm going to have a well earned break until the New Year...

I've gone for a darker green. I've put in the faces of the players because otherwise the picture looked as if I'd forgotten to finish it.
If we can get a quick thumbs up to this I'll send it up with my current batch but there's no real hurry, if you're not happy we can upload it in the New Year.

Looks absolutely wonderful to me Amy! (although I'm sure they were the Barnsly home and away kits of the late 90s...)
We'll just have to wait til the office furniture gets on line, to see if the bossman's happy...

I'll put it forward to the other Artists for critique and then we'll see what happens. No promises, it's a busy time.

Well I for one am delighted at the work you've put in on this, paying attention to mall our drivelling nonsense and putting up with us. Whenever it's ready, I for one will be glad to see these pieces of art on hootoo.

You still seem to be taking a risk with the football design in the banner.

I'm not sure that you really want artistic critique from football fans, but I like the badge a lot.
Much better than a meat pie from any ground I've been to.

I suppose the design on the ball in the banner might resemble a particular company's design - I'm thinking Umbro maybe. But hey what do I know, all footie fans know that you don't watch the ball you watch the play, so none of us know what the ball looks like up close
