A friend of mine had a bit of trouble at work. Got a decimal place wrong and put a 1000 times the correct current into a machine he was using. Went bang.

Nice. Only thing like that I ever heard of was my friend's dad got electrocuted and thrown 6ft across the room.

now that's not good.
Got shocked once changing a light bulb (someone turned the switch on ), not nice but fortunately no harm came of it.

I've managed to avoid that one, though my friend who was holding the fence down so I could step over it didn't. 'Oh, it won't shock me' he insisted. It's a good thing walking boots have thick soles.

My physics teacher in high school used to like to shock people. He got a major kick out of zapping the people who fell asleep in class.

I guess that would wake them up, though not in a pleasant way. My lecturers like to just sneak up on snoring students and bang the desk.
