I am a geek, but mostly in the closet so to speak. Most of the people in RL that know me would never guess. Hehe. I believe they have underestimated the Sneakyness.
Way too much time on my hands.

Yes, but what kind? Hmmm....I'd have to say Pecan.
It's 4am where I am and I've had waaaaaayyyyy too much coffee tonight. Have fun today! Tonight!? This night job has really messed with my perception of time.

Pecan nuts - mmm tasty. But also smell of penises (peni?).... hmmm
time... well that doesnt really exist anyway so i wouldnt fret about it. We're all time travellers anyway. We just travel at the same speed as time coz we dont know how to do it otherwise.

True, true. I know! I should figure out how to travel faster in time! Wait, that would mean I would get really old without the stories. Doh! Back to the drawing board.
Been good lately? Better yet, been bad lately? Cursing out old ladies as they try to cross the road? No? Oh, well, we can't all be evil. It's so tempting some times, however.
Whichever you are this week, have fun being that way!

Hi. It's been quite a while since I've seen you around here.
I have a question. Your story, 'My Termination' will finally see the publication it deserves, but not on the front page. Someone farther up the food chain here at h2g2 has decided that it's too dangerous to allow on the front page so it's going to get CACCed. Now, my question is about how you want it presented. There is a version that has been created for the UG archives, A3204983, or your original. So, which one would you prefer me to run? Of course you can always tell me not to run it at all, and I will respect that, but after all this time waiting I hope you won't decide that way.
Hope everything has been going well for you.

Hi Pantherlady, Sneaky.
Apologies for barging into your conversation here. I just wanted to add something to what Sneaky said. Pantherlady, the decision was in the end that the powers further up the food chain felt unable to feature your story directly from the Front Page but I wanted to say it was a decision made with regret because the quality and strength of the piece was recognised by everyone.
One reason this has taken so long is because we and the italics took this as far as possible. One reason the decision went against featuring it on the Front Page was the strength of your very personal and honest account.
These are not just words - although we can't feature your piece on the front page we can still include it in the UnderGuide. The italics have, and this is a first, said they would include Ben's UG polished version in the official UG categorisation. We would like to do that but we're asking you what your choice is. It's small compensation for not having a front page feature but it does prove that the value of your story is recognised.
We have previously listed entries that TPTB felt unable to put on the front page in our own, unofficial, archive but they've never gone into the official categories before.
You're in good company with this. Although it's a first for the UnderGuide it has happened before in the Edited Guide with Ben's Small Words entry.
Well, I also hope everything has been going well for you and I'll take myself off now.
Waz, speaking for all the UnderGuide Editors.

Firstly, Sneaky... I am of the belief that the UG version would be a better idea because I respect the fact that the entry is quite controversial. So the extra links and polishing seems like a much better idea for this.
Waz - thank you for explaining this further to me. Ben had previously mentioned this to me, but it's been good to hear it in more detail. The fact this is getting any coverage at all means an awful lot to me.
Many thanks

Thank you for letting us present your entry, it's been a long road but well worth the wait. You can find my draft of the issue at A2197578 (my working page for the CACC). I hope you like what I've done with it.

Oh, I think you said that too. It was the first time I had seen anything like it.
As far as I can figure, the issue will run this week. At least I've told the Post team about it, and it is for their anniversary.
So how's life at Uni?
