Nah, not really. I try to be a happy kind of guy, and usually fail miserably. My main gripes are with Microsoft and thier apperant ineptitude. Oh, there is this video game, Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick, that is just driving me nuts right now, but that's really the sign of a good game. If it takes more than ten hours of gameplay to beat, it's generally worth the effort. Geek complaints mostly, and no, not the classical definition of geek, those that bite the heads off of chickens in carnivals. I refer to the modern definition of geek, those that know way too much about both computers and sci-fi.
If you haven't seen the 'Evil Dead' movies, and you can find them, I highly recommend them. Some of the funniest horror movies around. Don't be decieved by the titles either. Evil Dead 2 is realy just a bigger budget remake of the first, whereas Army of Darkness is the second installment. Ash is the single most sarcastic anti-hero forced to save the world from 'deadites'. With a chainsaw for a right hand. Oh yeah, baby! Good stuff.

Sproketeer(describing a member of Clan Sproket)! That just occured to me, thought I'd pass it along. Seems to me that I might have thought of that before, but I'm too lazy to read back on the thread. I'm at work and have to suffer a dial-up.

Indeed, we've had sproketeers before, but to elaborate, they are able to comment within the sprokets becasue they have had experience and have explored the world themselves...

You see, im not majorly into all thses puter games, i just like to spend hours on the net finding bizarre and odd things and basically letting the world know im here....
Favourite film for me - When Harry Met Sally... (slushy romantic film) and The Shawshank Redemption (for the classicness of it) and *inferno*... dont ask, just dont ask about that last one, its embarrassing...

Sneaky Posted Oct 6, 2003
Shouldn't have told me not to ask. What's up with *inferno*? Shawshank Redemption is a great movie, but I don't like the classic idea. Makes me feel old. The movie stayed pretty close to the novela Stephan King wrote. That alone makes it a good movie for me. Big King fan here. Right now I'm hooked on 'House Of 1000 Corpses' by Rob Zombie. Wonderful movie, great ending, mad suspense. Probably the best horror movie ever. I highly recommend, if you have the stumach for a good horror movie.

Inferno... its an adult movie really... that should explain it. If you knew me in RL, that might disturb you some more than on here, coz im thought of as a *good* girl... lol. Little they know. Stephen King - fantastic - but ive only read a couple of his stories... only recently got into it all. Apt Pupil was a really good story, but the grossest of his was *the Breathing Technique* (that i've read)...
I have a free avo! Coz my teacher is off sick... thats not good, but i get to go home, which is...
So hows you?

Doin rather well, all things considered. Having fun right now watching the Daily Show's coverage of the California Recall Election, the day after. Funny stuff. Also learning the complicated intro to Metallica's One. I lead such an unintersting life.
You know, it's usually the 'good' ones that hide the most disturbing things. Probably because they are consedered so 'good'. I've never really been that concerned with people's opinions of me. That has gained me some rather unusual reputations. Strangly enough, that tends to work in my favor.
I'm familiar with most of King's work, my library has the last 29 of his books in hardcover (just looks better on the shelf) and can't recall 'The Breathing Technique', could you tell me where you read that one? My personal fav of his shorter tales would be 'The Long Walk' from his Bachman days. I was always upset that he wasn't allowed to publish more work under his pseudonym, some of his best story telling was under the name Richard Bachman.

Learning the intro to *one*... hows it going. Cant say its a song i think is particularly great - there are better Metallica tracks... Im feeling well negative right now sorry...
Im not concerned with peps opinions of me, but it has been said that everyone assumes im a good *virginal* young lady... rats to that... im a nympo in disguise (currently on holiday though - that part of me) with alot of darkness behind me...
I need to discover more of King's stuffs. The Breathing Technique was in a book of short stories with Shawshank, Apt Pupil and i think it was The Body in it... the book was under the title of Apt Pupil... if that helps?
Dint know that about Bachman, but I'll take a look around.

Slow going, as with all Metallica's tunes. I'm a fan of the old skool Metallica (pre-Black Album), so the trilogy of 'Fade To Black', 'Welcome Home:Sanitarium', and 'One' are my fav Metallica tunes. There are many greats, all debatable at to which are better, but those are my picks for a three way tie for first.
If you're interested in reading more King, I'd highly recommend the 'Dark Tower' series. In order: 'The Gunslinger''Drawing Of The Three''Waste Lands''Wizard And Glass'. Amazing books, but not horror. If it's the darker side of King you want, read 'It' or 'The Stand' for a warmup. Any of his collected works (I think there are four, but am not sure as I know I'm missing at least one) are great for quick trips to the flip side. I believe the one you are refering to (with 'Apt Pupil') is actually entitled 'Different Seasons', but has gone through several face-lifts as three of the four were made into movies. It's also the one collection that I know of that I'm missing.
Sorry to hear about your feeling negative. Always sucks to be down, but that's why I love the blues. A little Miles Davis or Muddy Waters always makes it seem not so bad. That is just me, of course. Hope ya feel brighter soon.

I dont really know metallica too well, so obviously i cant pass comment. I'm in a big 3DoorsDown mood at the moment - having a break from some of my heavier sh*t.
I think it was Different Seasons, yep. Thats the bit I couldnt remember. Anywho... I'm gona see what i can find of his then read it... I like the horror side of it most. Really like Bernard Cornwall too. He writes war stories.
This sounds sic, but sometimes i enjoy being unhappy. I dont mean that i make myself miserable, but when im down i like knowing that i can feel that sad and that i am human. It might be coz when i was on anti-dz i didnt really have much re feelings, and now i just relish in them. Also, ive learnt to cry again and it makes me feel so much better. hmmm... Miles Davis is great, but when it comes to Jazz I love Nina Simone (clichei know, but its fantastic)
hows u?

Anti-depressants, especially of the SSRI variety have a strange tendancy to cause the problems they were proscribed to fix. Of course, it's my opinion that all pills are poison. The darker emotions are a part of being human, so I've never really understood trying to make them go away anyways. Don't think you sound sick, we all like to be depressed every now and again. It makes those times where we are happy that much better to have a good depression to compare it to.
Actually, I've never heard Nina Simone, guess I'll have to download me some of her work. While I like jazz, blues is more my speed. I think it has something to do with the fact that rock and roll is based on the twelve bar blues, just a little faster. At least that's what Little Richard and Elvis did. Robert Johnson (blues legend that sold his soul at the crossroads) heavily influenced some of the great rock musicians of Britian as well. 3 Doors Down is a decent band. Not really my cup of joe, but talented musicians anyway. They are steeped in the blues, being from Biloxi Mississippi, which is not too far from Parchment Farm.
Darn, I sound like a lecture. Ignore me if that's the case, I just get caught up in those things I like.

What is wrong with Hootoo? It keeps logging me in and out and being a general pain.
Anti-dz i found were good for one thing in the end - knocking my emotions out completely so my life didnt feel so retched. Unfortunately i just got it worse when i came off them. Yucky boodle. I had to knock them out - its not funny to walk throuhg the centre of town with tears streamin down your face for no apparent reason. Having your heart broken every time you see something horrible. Having to avoid people selling the *Big Issue* coz they look so unhappy i want to cuddle them and make everythign ok again, but knowing full well that i cant and that anything i do doesnt make the blindest bit of difference. seeing a little kid screaming her head off coz shes just fallen over and no one noticed. It makes me suicidal.
Did you find any Nina Simone? Shes really good.
Sorry if this is a tad short - im about to be timed out so i have to go.

I think hootoo went through some major changes. This is the first time I've been able to log on in two days, and I had to go through a bunch of bull just to get this far. Hopefully it's the last time they change the login procedures.
The symptoms you describe when coming off a drug, and drug, is most commonly refered to as delerium tremens. Basically the drug you were on was highly addictive, so you went through rather typical withdrawl. The thoughts on suicide as well as the rapid mood swings tell me that it was some type of speed. Your account also tells me that you were on a combo of some type. Never a good thing. At least one SSRI combined with some type of speed, my guess would be a Xanax/Ridilin combo, as they are the most commonly prescribed.
Make no mistake, the doctors do not have your best interests at heart. All of these drugs for mental problems are addictive poisons. I've never understood why they use a physical remedy for a mental condition. There has never been any proof whatsoever that mental problems have biological causes. That would make the prescription of drugs, which affect biological causes, for mental problems one of the greatest crimes ever. These drugs are poison.
Sorry for the rant, but this is something that more people need to know.
Haven't looked up nina simone, just been too lazy. I promise I'll get to it as soon as possible, or as soon as I remember to, whichever works.

Mmmm - lets hope they dont make any more changes that stop us geting on...
You know a hell of alot about antdepressants. How come? I came off it about 6 months ago. I was given the option to stay with it, but I didnt want to anymore. It makes me feel a weak person to rely on drugs. So...
Abywho, tell me how you're so aware of it all?

First off, I'm sorry for not being able to reply in soooooooo long. I was abducted by aliens back in mid October (Oct 14 to be exact), and when I finally won my freedom on Nov 17, I found that I could no longer access my account, hence the name Sneaky_v_2 (I am really Sneaky, The First Sproket, just in case you were still confused). I am so sorry to hear that you are going through so many problems in you life. There really is no way to cope with it all, at least not that I've found. All I ever do is just grit my teeth and remind myself of how much worse other people have it. Somehow other peoples misery tends to make mine seem easier to deal with. So I'm a little sadistic.
I guess I should answer your question now that my seguey is said. I first started learning about psychopharmicuticals (mind meds) when I was a senior in high school writing a term paper on the subject. What I found out then (1995, but I refuse to act that old) scared the hell out of me. A number of my friends at the time were either taking some of these poisons or were considering taking them. Since then I have just tried to stay abreast of the uses, misuses, side effects, intended effects, chemical class, and just about as much as I can possibly find out. It still chaps my ass to know that these quacks are trying to cure a mental condition with a phisical treatment, no better than electo-shock in my book. I know about speed and other recreational drugs of most natures by first hand experience. Nothing beats first hand knowledge, IMO.
One of the most important things to remember about any drug is that if one of the side effects is any type of damage to the liver, then the drug is a poison and will slowly kill you. The second most important thing to remember is that if there is any problems associated with the sudden stopping of treatment with a drug, than the drug is addictive, no matter what the quack tells you. From what I've found out, d*mn near every prescribed med has both of these qualities.
I'm sounding like a lecture again. Darn. Anyway, I'm back, if in disguise.
