Monkey. I was particularly impressed by her slovenly, work-shy, beer-swilling husband......a real man
Anyway, do you mind finishing off in here while i read the paper and feed my pidgeons.

Not a pidgeon fancier then Bel?
I must admit, i think they are just rats with feathers myself. The only bird i really like is chicken.......cooked and curried.

The curry, or the hate of pigeons?
Perhaps we should start keeping some more animals here, for food purposes There's the garden out the back where Andy lives..........i wonder what tastes like?

I'll eat anything that moves
Talking of which, i'm off out round a mates for dinner tonight (apparently his wife makes the best steak and kidney pie in the world), so i've got to go buy some nice wine for the meal.
Frascatti to start i think, then a nice to have with the pie. See you later mate, have a nice day.

I guess, as they live on Bamboo, then a stirfry like pork?
BTW, I thought this look was more appropriate for cleaning!

As for the pidgeons, don't let them anywhere near the Pelicans!!!

Thanks for that MMF, perhaps that is more the look.
That Coronation street biography thing is addictive. I never watch soaps these days, but when i was a kid it was almost law in our house to watch 'Corrie' and 'Crossroads' so this is like a real nostalgia trip.
Now, what did Amy Turtle look like again?
The place is coming along nicely, looking much tidier. You think a new lick of paint too?

Must admit, I watched little in the way of soaps, but I do recall sitting through Crossroads at a Mate's house, as his Mum dropped everything for it. Weirdly, when 9/11 occured, that was what was on ITV, and for an extra 15 minutes after all the other stations had switched to live US tv. Funny how thing stick in your mind!
I wouldn't go too mad with the decorating!
We don't want the place being gate-crashed!!!
But a little pink chintz wouldn't go amiss

Very homely.
Good thinking about not becoming too popular though, you think we need to camoflage the door? That temporary notice saying "Abandon hope all ye who enter here" seems a bit like an invitation to me
I've drunk in pubs with scarier notices outside.
My favourite was; "It's not spit and sawdust, that's teeth and last nights furniture - welcome"

I thought it said 'Abandon Pope all who enter here!' and meant we had to hand in a certain Brewer's or else excommunicate ourselves!
Must get these glasses changed.
Now about that camouflaged door idea!
Tell more!

I've had a re-think about camoflaging the door. With all the talk of eliteism and in crowds at the moment, we'd best not labelled as cliquey.
Sooo, cunning plan. We put a big notice on the door saying 'Addicts bar/tea room: All welcome, free and c'mon in'
No Hootooer would ever walk into a room with that on the door, it looks too much like a trap
Wanders over to the drinks machine and gets still water, and a 6 month old You think this will be ok?

Hi! Just remove the green furry jacket, and you'll be fine. After all, it is alive as I can see it , so it won't you.
I reckon if we offer lots of seating and pretend that there is a huge members' database, it'll frighten everyone because they won't think it is cliqué enough for them to join.
Shades of Groucho Marx, and 'I wouldn't join any Club that would have me as a Member!'

I can see we're going to have to find a post for you as minister of music and cunning plans MMF
That by the way was delicious.......tangy, but delicious.
Now, about music. I think we need some sort of background music, and perhaps a live gig on Friday nights.....any suggestions?
