Entry: The Professionals - the 1970s TV show - A1035587
Author: Number Six (Sub-Editor, Scout and Mild-Mannered Janitor) - U115522
Ex-Flea Market special, original entry A667244. Never made it out of the Writing Workshop, which is a shame... the author had some trouble along the way because a German website had ripped their article and the entry got yikesed until the truth came out!
WW thread is at F80862?thread=244929
Anyway, I'm submitting it to PR 'as is', so let the Peer Reviewing process being!
(Does anyone remember which kids TV series or book featured a tortoise (I think it was a tortoise) called Lewis Collins?

I commented on this when it was in Writing Workshop and am happy with it now.

Actually, I'm not happy. The comments I made in Writing Workshop were not taken into account, so I'll reproduce them here:
Who Dares Wins - put the title in single quotes or in italics.
to put to fine a point --> to put too fine a point
The heading 'BODIE' seems to cover three paragraphs, of which only the first is about Bodie. Perhaps you can put in another heading here.
"DVD release planned for 2002". That's old news. WHat happened? Was it released? Is it now planned for 2003?

The DVDs have been out for ages. They're available from Contender.

Any chance of an episode guide?

Blimey, I'd completely forgotten I had this in PR! As it was a serial rather than a series, I'd say there are probably too many episodes to make a guide.

Nice entry! There's nothing major wrong with it that hasn't already been pointed out, so I'll just mention that there's a handy Martin Shaw bio here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/faces/martin_shaw.shtml .

I dislike ep guides in EG entries- they don't achieve a lot, and there's plenty of them on the web already.

I hate to disagree, but I will anyway
Including episode guides means they don't have to look elsewhere to find the info, all the info being here in the entry.

Kerr - yes! I thought I'd have a bit more time on my hands when I submitted this, but I haven't actually found any to do anything to it yet!
PSG - I'm all for the concept of keeping guide entries as inclusive and informative as possible to get the info into h2g2, but wouldn't a complete episode guide for a serial that ran for 57 instalments be overdoing it?
Right, I'll be back shortly.

Fair enough, 57 is excessive, and would warrant an entry in it's own right.
But in general if you can have an episode guide it is useful.

I've even just added a new section on their impact on popular culture. Hope you like it. Thanks everyone for giving me a helpful boot on this one!
Right, I'm off down the boozer...

Looks great Six Just out of a matter of interest though, have you 'recycled' the A number- ie, has this been another entry before, so to speak. This question *is* relevent, honest.
