I know that The Professioanls wasn't repeated on ITV for a long time because Martin Shaw wouldn't allow it. But the show was very un-PC. Not only was it rampantly sexist it was also quite racist. One example, in one show a prostitute was found dead, she happened to be a friend of Bodie's but she was also carrying the telephone number of a government minister-so it became a CI5 job. The following conversation took place in the show.
Bodie:I think I loved her.
Doyle: Well let's nail the b*stard who did this.
Bodie: Well let's start with the pimp. But where do we start?
Doyle: Pimp means black. So there's a starting point.
Bodie. Let's go!
Somehow, I don't think we'll see that episode again.
