Whe I first saw the Open Debating Society - It look much, invite only and two of the members have trolled me recently so I thought I'd pass on that one. I hang out in the "The Forum" http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/A1146917 There is a tread at the moment on Intent vs Action re Criminal sentencing. ******** fablefilou, this particular thread is not so active any more and not many are still here. How about I give you an example.
Say you start a thread and someone with a dislike of you or your position comes in and disrupts things and personally attacks you or others in the thread. That would be an example of trolling.
Blatherskite and Alectrician have both trolled me.

Flaiming would be the same thing posted over and over again by the same person. Usually something nasty in tone and or posted to many threads.

It's usually thrown about by people who've run out of argument but sometimes it's real.

it's a line from an old song bt edwin starr....tears ago there was a poster going around that said war is not good for children and other living things

yeah its quite a catchy tune really.....there was a TVprogram that used it for their theme music called"family law"
