Hi GD
As far as I know the moderated postings will not be coming back. I am basing that on the fact we have been instructed to fail rather then refer them. On the matter of the policies and how long they will remain in place, I am assuming they will remain in place until the end of the conflict, but if I hear anything to the contrary then I will let you know.

Another one in recent news: How many years did the US Space program go without any deaths in re-entry? 42!

Aa-haaah... it's open again now...
I have to ask again - as in the e-mail - why a thread is stopped when everything said in it was said before on the news?
I am annoyed like hell about things like this!

I have now had 5 postings moderated, even though they were rerlatively harmless. One only stated that war had started.
I begin to understand how it must have been like to live in former USSR.
Td.

It's very disappointing. Not sure what DNA would have made of it all. This place has always seemed like a refuge from so much bulls**t in the world. Not so now.

I hope and think that DNA would rotate in his grave. It is, as I said, silly. The last thing I mentioned was to watch the news - and, ups, this one was moderated.
So: watching the as far as I know BBC-broadcasted news are news which shall not be watched??????? Hi Mr and Mrs Moderate-Me-People... So what about thinking, even when you're employed by BBC?

skugga- I , too, disagree with BBC policy matter on this, but I think that theorising what DNA might think about it were he alive, and trying to credit him with your opinions, and making reference to him "spinning in his grave" is out of order. By all means debate the rights and wrongs of the matter, but I think you should leave Douglas out of it, personally.

The handful off people who 'moderate' h2g2 do not make BBC policy. I have seen several researchers now make remarks to these moderaters even going as far as telling them they should quit their job to show their support against this policy. I find it simply ludicrous to and rude to direct comments and anger at persons who have no hand in making the policy you are upset at.
Just to clarify I appall censorship. I also think this policy was not well thought out and heavy handed. It brings to mind a old saying "Do not shoot the moderater" {or was it messenger?}
