h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Awright dudes, here's the deal.
This is the announcment of the Red dwarf Fan fiction competition (wohoo! )
This is your, yes, your chance to write your very own episode of Red Dwarf. Come on, deep down you've always wanted to.
You can write a continuation on series 8, the lost episode of series 1-8, the lost chapter of one of the books, you can write a story based on the h2g2 red dwarf, it can be in the form of a script, a first person or a third person story. They can be as long or as short as you wish, unless they are too long or too short the only single rule, apart from no spitting is this:
It must be set in the Red Dwarf universe. Or incase you wish to write about the backwards universe;

After say... two months or whenever we get enough contributions, there will be a vote for which is the favourite.

I have a large distaste for fan fiction...

Why? Did you get caught with something in a fan as a child?

If time allows I might give it a shot, but I've never been very good at using someone else's universe...or characters for that matter. Unless I juts went with something completely surreal but vaguely Dwarfish...

The only problem I have is that it's sometimes hard to tell who's speaking... and the spelling of skutter...
