actually 7 and 8 are ok, just not what i expected after a long wait..

Bring back Series 4 and 5 and 6...

7 wasnt so bad - just 8 was a bit :-S

The reason 7/8 are a bid dodgy is because doug Naylor wanted to a movie but got told: do another or two series first...

so he did..

7 had to change as writing teams were used when doug didn't want them... and due to most of the things and sets and shots... a real audience couldn't be used so canned laughter was used instead, aswell as movie techniques... that's why 7 comes off as looking cleaner than the previous and looks more movie like!

What's the irritating continuity problem with Kochanski from series VII to VIII (And I'm not talking about re-opening link ways!)?

The argument -> Did nobody like 8? I loved it (probably 'cos the bunkroom scenes came back). 7 wasn't so good (and it was real laughter, as they played it to audiences in cinema type places, a la Last of the Summer Wine)
The question -> ??? They got her rank wrong?

Love ACE Rimmer, hated the way they seemed to *have* to make something funny (ie a scenario) for the sake of it instead of relying on the characters and the absurdity of everything they do and say be funny in itself anyway.

Canned laughter is artificial laughter in that the laughter would've come from people who had never seen the show... Though I agree the energy was lost without an audience.
If we're talking continuity breaks, then there is only one scene this can happen -> The starbug destruction scene.
I *think* she might've been wearing the jacket she cut the arm off in Epideme... and the sleeve has miraculously re-appeared.
