S'funny, when I first met Grandad he had exactly the same opinion of covers bands

I take your point about duos though but after so many years of dealing with psychotic drummers, substance abusing sax players and substandard, egotistical bass players (there's not a lot of good ones about as you'll know), when we needed to get something on the road quickly to supplement our income, a duo was the best bet. We use a mixture of backing tracks & live guitar & vocals, with some acoustic stuff thrown in to show that we 'can' play ; and nobody whines for chips in the van on the way home

However, last time I spoke to me[Andy]g, U169062 he was in a working band and although he's not been about too much recently, (busy with the day job) threesecondmemory U148091 is the drummer in a cracking band called minusoneraver who gig a lot.

feck. Witney (if its the witney I think it is) is in like, sooo the same county as me..... and... I missed it.
