Gill was beggining to get a headache...and tetnus, which was quite strange since usualy rabies is associated with bites from creatures, but this was probably the common thing on his home planet

The fact that Oddy's bite was venemous probably had something to do with it.

Gill took an anti-tetanus,anti-venom,headache cure tablet which he carried with him at all times,and followed Raymond off to the pub.

Oddy really wanted to get drunk again, as he was in a very bad mood. He let go expectantly. Anyway, his jaw was beginning to ache.

Raymond ordered drinks for everyone in the pub,including a double Harvey wallbanger for Oddy, and presented Gill the bill.

To Gill, the amount was so slight it was barely noticable.
