Well!!! I enjoyed your guide, and, though I am a great fan of the books, quite enjoyed the Bakshi animation. I visited the Flying Moose critique of the film, linked from your guide, and found the following:

Moose says there's "a big knob on the mirror," Yes, moose, we see you.
Moose looks a little like a hollywood Messiah
Moose is bitchier about the film than a drag queen on a bad day.
However, the critique is, imvho, a very funny read, especially as the author obviously knows it scene for scene. Methinks he dost protest too much.
