Project Description

Girl Scout and Girl Guide organisations exist all over the world, providing girls everywhere with opportunities to meet new friends, learn new skills, serve their communities, and grow into independent young women. WAGGGS, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, is an international organization that includes Girl Guide or Scout organisations in 140 different countries.

Girl Guides originated in the United Kingdom in 1910. Two years later in 1912, the first Girl Scout troop was formed in the United States.

Here's a list of my entries in the project. They were all sub-edited by the wonderful Jimi X.

Here's a list of the UK Guiding pages researched and written by the awesome Sue, the project's UK correspondent. They were all sub-edited by the equally wonderful Mark.
