Citroen DS

There are probably a few more but I've forgotten them.

ahhh, cars. i'm a huge fan of the oldsters; mg roadster, edsel, packard, tucker, hudson, desoto, lincoln presidential... they're all good.

what makes me appreciate the older cars is their character and design - these were cars that made some serious visual impact in shape and color. no car today could carry off a studebaker yellow in the same way. (although the pt cruiser could possibly do it justice)
excessive chrome is another important aspect - the more the better.

Hey, Iron Man...

So, do you actually own a VW Bus ?
The reason I ask... I live in Cardiff too.

I Am Iron Man

Sadly, no, I don't possess one. I don't have the cash to run a car, being a student and all. It'd be one of my first choices if I could have a car.

I'm a big Ford fan. It doesn't get much better than a '69 mach1 mustang with a 429ci cobrajet motor . Or maybe...
'93 5.0 Mustang Cobra
'03 Mach1 Mustang
'03 SVT Cobra
'95 5.0 Mustang GT ( < hey, I actually have one of these)smiley - biggrin

Also I would like to apologize to all you british folk, I love gigantic trucks and SUVs.

I would love to own a 2003 F250 with a V-10 and a ten inch suspension lift and 40 inch tall tires.

I luv gas guzzlers.smiley - smiley

AC 289 Mk3 - looks like a 427, has the same chassis but a sensibly(?) sized engine;
FE Series VX4/90 with overdrive;
Volvo 240GLT saloon - this I do own;
Ferrari 365GTB/4 (aka Daytona) - gorgeous, with curves in all the right places, 174mph with no spoilers/air dams: if it looks right, it IS right;
Mercedes 300SEL 6.3 - the ultimate Q-car;
1963 Buick Riviera;
Jensen FF;
Vauxhall Viva 2300SL - take the badges off and go hunting for Escort Mexicos...;
Can I have them all, please?

Bassman - Funny how people never ceases to amaze me!

Not sure if I should be writing about cars which I can't even afford to look at, or one that I've owned for the last 6 years - the longest I've had a car, just because I love it....

I suppose I could do a list of what I've had....

Triumph Toledo 1300 - blue, first car, nice wee motor, plusher than a MK III Cortina!

Renault 18 Estate 1.6 - 1 blue, 1 met green. Large enough for a growing family, reasonable comfort, complete rust buckets (especially the green one!)

Adams Rotrax 2 Litre Pinto with twin choke webber - blue. Bought from one of the kit car magazines who detailed the build over several months then flogged it (to me). Very high smiles per mile value, totally impractical two seater with no heater! Very comfy seats. Very stupid doors!

Dutton Sierra - kit car. I tried to kid myself it was good, but it wasn't. Only had it a few months.

Austin Montego 1.6 - brown rust bucket! Good engine despite high mileage.

Vauxhall Carlton 2.0 CDX Auto - Met Burgundy. My first really decent car. Comfortable mile muncher.

Toyota Yaris 1.0 Litre CDX - Met Black. First brand new/imported car. Top of the range car for bottom of the range price - imported from Holland in Full UK spec. Simply superb little car. I just couldn't fault it on anything, especially the clutchless gear box.

LTD Edition 2.2 Turbo Diesel PT Cruiser in Inferno Red, with a Taupe Leather interior. Ex Demonstrator with only 3500 on the clock when I got it.

It's not the biggest - fastest - most comfortable - most economic - or cheap to run of all the cars I've owned, but it certainly has the most character.

Bassman smiley - bikersmiley - cool
