Jesus is the human manifestation of GOD. I never said that humans always lie, I just said it is in their nature. Jesus never lied though.

you made the best point I've read in this discussion so far! Criticism, judgment and contention can only block the path of the spirit of truth!

I think people are very hostile towards the mormons, because they don't understand their religion. I'm not a mormon, but I've done some research, and I know several mormons. I've reached the conclusion that blacks could not hold the priesthood because of the wide-spread distrimination in the american south and west at the time. Unfortunately, a few biased members made a decision, and in the LDS, it is hard to have a decision overturned in future generations. I've heard that many black mormons don't hold it against the church, so why should we?

The reason the blacks weren't allowed to receive the preisthood until the 1970's was the same reason that Jesus didn't preach to the gentiles. It wasn't time yet. Everything has a season, a time for everything under the sun.

No need to be rude just because you believe differently.

Thats what they say, but you know what? Pepsi is a Mormon run company and Mormons dont drink Caffene. Hmm and they do smoke, and drink... Take my word for it... no person is perfect... not even me... the only person who was perfect was the Lord Jesus Christ...

How do I say it - URBAN LEGEND. The LDS church does not own or run Pepsi or Coke. It is too big. check out snopes2.com. It is an urban legend society homepage in San Fernando. To be a member in good standing you cannot smoke or drink. Some people who claim to be members do, but hopefully they are working towards ending that bad habit. Until then, they are not a member in good standing. We never claimed to be perfect. I would like to know where you get your info from. It is a flawed source.

Right... No offence, but I really just dont like mormons, they are just as bad as the rest of them... and there is no way a religion that changes it's beliefs could be God's.
I dont care what you believe, but I really just have this thing for mormons... they bug me... SORRY...

Cat Posted Aug 9, 2001
Apparently you do care what I believe or you wouldn't be trying to tell me what an idiot you think I am by believing what I do. I assume that you believe in the New Testament. The New Testament changed many things from the Old testament and things also changed after Christ died. Also, Crhist told us to Love one another. With your feelings of anamosity towards those who are not of your faith, you can't possible be living that law. Yes, I know that I don't always, but I do try to at least be kind and considerate of others, their feelings and beliefs.

I am showing love towards others by sharing my beliefs, and the main thing is that I dont hate the people, I hate the religion... I like everyone equally, and I have a few mormon friends... but if they let their faith get into our relationship... I have to dismiss them...

Paranoid Viking Posted Aug 12, 2001
When sharing your beliefs there is a difference between what in politics would be described as positive and negative campaigning. You are obviously into negative campaigning -not so much sharing what you believe in, as what you don't believe in.........

Paranoid Viking Posted Aug 17, 2001
try this one: go and study the scriptures and see hos many times you find the word "hate" said by Jesus Christ. You cannot show love and express hate - the two are inconsistent. It is hard to truly love people some times, but we are commanded to try. Never did Jesus Christ said anything about being derogatory about other people's beliefs. That is a lesson to us all to be more tolerant to each other.
