Jesus has a bit of a sulk

Comedy God moment in Mark 11: 12-14

'Next day as they were leaving Bethany, he felt hungry. Seeing a fig tree in leaf some distance away, he went to see if he could find any fruit on it, but when he came up to it he found nothing but leaves: for it was not the season for figs. And he addressed the fig tree. 'May no one ever eat fruit from you again.' he said. And the disciples heard him say this.'

See sulking cos you're wrong is cool. There's scriptural evidence. smiley - smiley

It does go on to say later that the tree withered and died but it always amused me in Theology classes. I even managed to work it into my course work.

don't forget that all followers of Jesus will be able to perform the same feat... another wonderful way of finding out which of your christians are true christians, and which are just pretending... smiley - winkeye

When I first read this story,it bothered me a bit. and I came up with the thought: That this showed the human side of Jesus, which in a way maybe it did. But after studying further, I am thinking that this meant. That if you are not producing good fruits, speaking of christians. If you are not proclaiming the word, you are useless, and you shall be cut off or cut down, as the tree. Gypsy
