So there aren't many of us. Here goes anyway:
Attitude: Apathetic. Society doesn't care about you, so you don't care about society. Music is all that matters.
Clothing: Old concert and publicity photos of Kurt Cobain or Eddie Vedder should help. Ripped up jeans, t-shirts with political or social commentaries on them. Very dirty -- your washing machine breaks? No biggie. You never used it anyway.
Accessories: CD player. Sometimes it appears as though the grunge rocker has permanently affixed headphones to his skull. This is not so! He's probably got his favorite song on repeat play.
Music: Grunge rock. Duh. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, etc. Sometimes venturing into more acidic sounds like industrial (NIN) or post-grunge like Silverchair or the Foo Fighters.
Hangouts: Some forgotten corner of the school where faculty won't notice that you've got a CD player (which are technically forbidden, at least where I attend). Even when hanging out in groups, grungers tend to have their headphones on and CD players on full blast. Social contact is not their 'thing'.
Though they communicate mostly in antisocial grunts, grungers can be very sensitive and intelligent souls. Just read the lyrics they write for the bands that never actually get off the ground.
Ok, that's my go at it.

There is a contradiction in your description. First you say they don't care about society, then you say they wear "t-shirts with political or social commentaries on them". I think a better discription is not that they don't care about society, but tht they are disappointed by it. It doesn't take a lot of listening to PJ to see that Eddie Vedder cares a lot about society.

Well . . . they have contempt for the people who screwed everything up. What I meant by 'they don't care about society' was more . . . they don't support the autonomous (if I spelled that right), conformist, herd mentality. They don't want to grow up and get a 9 to 5 job, have two kids, and buy a minivan. They are upset because that is seen as the only path to success, the only form of happiness, and they aren't above sabatoging it to make people think. Make sense?

I think a better way to save your a**e(does that have to be censored) would be to say they don't care about society and the political statemnts say how nothing works, how society is dead and how ironic life is. It's usually dead synical. For example arrest me i'm a skater says how society takes too much notice of appearance and is too busy thinking about itself it can't think how to make 2 people happy. RULE ANARCHY.
