"As these regions have their own special days..."
I suspect Wales, Scotland and Ireland would object to being regions. Especially since the Republic of Ireland isn't even part of the UK.

I didn't think I'd said Ireland was in the UK... Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Yorkshire are all regions within Europe, or regions on the surface of the Earth, or... Anyway, I've changed it to 'places'

Because the entry mentions Yorkshire being a region of the UK at the beginning it kind of implies that the other places are too. It's just me being annoying .
