Hot strawberry milkshake? Not sure I like the sound of that. I didn't realise Nestle were such bad guys, though.

Hmm....
Makes me glad I prefer Cadbury's!
Just realised what the weirdest hot drink I ever tried was. Hot white chocolate! It reminded me of milk for feeding babies (the powdered stuff, not the fresh ).

If we're talking hot drinks for cold days, I have to go with something I invented (unless anyone else has come up with this combination) in college:
1 cup of strong French Roast coffee +
1 shot of Goldschlager (an 80-proof cinnamon schnapps) = coffee cinnamon alcoholic goodness
Wakes you up and warms you up at the same time.
And what's that about Nestle and the third world?

Hmm bit of a complicated one. Basically there are problems with the way Nestle label baby milk in the third world. This effectivly causes thousands of babies to die unecessarily every year (n.b. Nestle deny this).
Mark Thomas (a UK comedian/campainger) is one of the flag bearers of the campaign against Nestle. Check out his website for more details.

Must admit, as a pale green environmentalist Im with Ferrettbadger re:- Nestle. It's the milk thing and also their sourcing ethos, ie:- not returning anything back to the third world and slave trading etc. However.......... I am guilty of prefering Nescafe for my Coffee, consuming 3 pints first thing in the morning, and getting through a Kilo a month. However Macdonalds etc.definite no-no. By the way, garibaldi or fig rolls for dunking in tea, and no you can't get a descent dunk from Coffee. Also the tea has to have milk. Another one from the past used to be Frys Chocolate spread in a paper container. Take a dessertspoon and place in a cup, pour on boiling water, add sugar to taste (usually three spoons as Frys was very bitter) and drink. Does it work with Nuttella?

"I am guilty of prefering Nescafe for my Coffee"
Tut tut tut, when the excellent Cafe Direct is availible which not only tastes good but is also ethically sound. Come on now Madfidler.

As for the coffee/alcohol thing, I posted on another conversation about a similar concoction my housemate used to knock up....but that sounds absolutely lovely .
Cafe Direct is pretty good. My housemate (a real coffee freak) managed to get hold of some Jamaican Blue Mountain beans - fantastic stuff!

To misquote the Who,I was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth, not silver. Blue Mountain coffee is one of the most expensive coffees on the market. Also, I would drink Cafe Direct, but with the quantities I drink, if I did buy that I could enter Flugtag and not rely on wings, and cross the atlanticn via the channel before I came to earth again. I'll stick to being a naughty boy !!!!

This friend of mine ended up having to switch to decaf stuff after all the caffeine in his system provoked him into have panic attacks and palpitations...
Once, he'd ground some of the Jamaican Blue Mountain beans up, and dropped the container . I remember him saying he wished he could snort it off the ground to stop it going to waste.

Snorting coffee eh?
Never yet got quite that desparate for a caffine hit, though pretty close once or twice!

The only problem with snorting coffee is, do I do the milk and/or sugar thing first? Would I be right in assuming that I mix the sugar with the coffee to my taste, then snort the milk to lubricate the nasal passages, and then go for the coffee. For maxim Caffiene-effect, I would imagine I have to snort all the coffee in one pffnnff, so to speak . I would also assume that the coffee must be finely ground, as coarse ground coffee may contain sharp shards that would damage the delicate nasal lining.
If I am using Blue Mountain Coffee, is it preferable to use a £50 note, whereas my Nescafe is usually snorted through a tenner. Do I have to dig out an old pound note for Sainsbury's economy brand?
Also when snorting, does full-fat milk give a bigger caffiene hit over skimmed?

I find you can grind the coffee with the inderside of a teaspoon.
However I am not classy enough to use a fifty, I always go for a nice crisp £20 !

The problem I find with £20's is that the grounds get stuck in Edward's 'tache, and he can't Handel it.

Of course you can get those devices like a small spoon of which you snort a small pile of ground coffee in a dainty manner!
