Why wait until next summer. I have a few green beans, some beets, and a couple of zucchinis growing nicely.

Cabbages would be unwise, given the number of Black-eyed Susans that grow in my yard. White cabbage moth caterpillars eat the leaves of both species.

Why wait, plant some salad leaves and a few herbs now, some onions cabbage and wait for the rest.?
