What I did for h2g2 today
Mrs Zen Started conversation Nov 28, 2011
I thought I'd actually use this as a journal and start jotting down notes on what I'm working on behind the scenes each day that I do work on h2g2 projects.
So....
Saturday 26th - There was a meeting in London to review what we've done since we won the bid in August, and some planning for the future. And very cool and exciting it was too. (Followed by a nice Lebanese meal with Foules Mesdames; ho ho.)
Sunday 27th - Travel home on the train. Draft a policy document which was one of my actions from the meeting. Discuss, discuss and discuss Field Researchers Ltd (the Community's not-for-profit company) with Z.
Sunday 27th - Evening - Jump start my car at the station. Read up about the Data Protection Act. Read more about the Data Protection Act. Discuss the Data Protection Act with Z.
Monday 28th - Evening - Pick up car from garage. Fine-tune the wording of a proposed help page with Aly and Z. Start writing up the minutes of the London meeting (how did I end up with that action?). Stop a tortoise from eating newspaper and explain to it that lettuce is healthier.

That was a month or so ago; I did hope it hadn't taken the battery with it, but it turns out it did.

You should always change the battery if you're having the alternator done.

I've read a fair bit *about* the Data Protection Act, but I've never read the real thing. How painful is it?
Ben, you're wonderful!

I'm not really here Posted Nov 29, 2011
I didn't read it. I rang the advice line, and they said 'you don't need to be registered for the data you hold'. YAY!

If she told you what was in it, she'd probably have to kill you.

I was busy with artists stuff until about 10 pm yesterday. Now it's 10 am and I already did something.
