Thanks Milla. Felt a bit helpless there as it sounded quite serious. Any blood where it shouldn't be is a worry.
Hope we here something soon, take care Terri, if you can read this.

Hiya all You lot. Thankx so much for caring, really, i mean that.
Nope, i haven't seen a doctor:
A) In that state, i would be highly unlikely to be able to explain in English, let alone French, what is wrong etc!
B) You get Emergency care & very good it is too, best in the world probably...but unless you have private Health Insurance, sooner or later you have to pay the bill. I don't; so i can't, so any medical crisis is to be weighed up against finances....i am sure PC & Seraphina know all about this scenario!
C) It was extremely scary, especially when alone. I left message for Bou, but he was asleep; he arrived today "What the hell????"...but he has his own stuff, i have no wish to add problems to that.
D) Whatever. It's my own fault; i choose to smoke (so i cough) & drink...so as Bou probably diagnosed "a blood vessel went pop in your osoephagus...heavy drinkers have weak arteries round there...plus you drank white wine last night, it's acidic, stick to rosé or red" (yeah, he knows from experience)
Ho hum; still alive so far. I have a Couchsurfer guest arriving tomorrow; so i suppose i should go to bed.
Soon....
zdt*praying no repeat of last nights bloody scene...scared to sleep actually*

*fingers crossed* The burst blood vessel sounds plausible enough Terri...definitely hope that's all it is!

Thanks all "you lot".....it means a lot.
meanwhile, here's a link (i hope!) to the website of the band the other night, who are great guys....I did promise to link to BBC website & i keep my word:
http://www.groove-on-net
Then search for "Ronnie Caryl band"
*This is easier: or Wiki it
http://www.worldofgenesis.com/RonnieCaryl-Interview.htm
(My personal fave is the 2nd track "Love the one you're with"....very very Grateful Dead guitarish!)....but it's all good ol' hippie stuff! They did 3 sets & we chatted in between, i kept saying "so what's next?"
"Oh, just more crap!"
(If i got the link right & you contact them PLEASE say Terri sent you!!!)
And buy the CD, it is worth it; believe me...but a live gig is better!

I second Prof's comments. Being so far away is worrying. I hope you are right about the blood vessel. Take care,
No lectures about drink and smokes, probably waste of time .....

That's a shame. Private insurance is necessary for working people of course, but where I live, if you can't afford to pay the entire bill, they can't force you to pay more than you are able. Plus there's a program called Charity Care that all government-funded hospitals must participate in where if you can't afford to pay at all, you're not charged for treatment. Hospitals that don't play fair lose their subsidies and any tax advantages. Obviously private practices (GPs) and immediate care centers aren't included as they don't receive any tax money.
It's too bad you can't live somewhere with a better health care system.

Oh, and my Wooh, I agree about the blood thing. I occasionally cough or puke up some blood when I've really been coughing hard or if I've thrown up a few times already, and my GP says it's pretty common for small blood vessels in the throat or esophagus to pop. Sometimes the little ones in my face do it too, and I'll get those patichiae they see on people who've strangled. It's not life threatening.
Though too much drinking and smoking is. And white wine especially- bleargh.

Folks! I have had a email from Abbifor a while, she has been having computer problems, old and new and they are slowly getting sorted.
She would like to "chat" with all her hootoo friends, but time and other stuff is limited, but she says that all being well, she will try pop in more often, as she misses everyone so much

Aww, we miss her too...but we do understand the problems. Thanks for keeping us informed Prof.
*sigh*RIP Bou's Grandma, who died last night, aged 98.
I finally got round to seeing the after the second bout of blood stuff. She reckons it's not as serious as it looks; apparently i don't have probs with my chest (apart from the usual asthma), throat is rather inflamed *but* apparently i have a fluctuating fever...which strikes me as odd since i usually feel cold all the time...she reckons the problem is mainly my nose, which has a deviated septum since it has been conveniently broken a fair few times, plus the usual malady means i have very delicate blood vessels (aww!) & seem to have somehow acquired some sort of Mega Flu Virus straight on top of the hay fever/sinusitis. So the bleeding is it escaping down my throat rather than out of my nose (i did have a spate of nosebleeds a few weeks back also)
How delightful.
She's given me cortisone spray to shove up my nose to dry it all up & some sort of stuff to make me cough it all up, plus enough painkillers to supply a 3rd World hospital for a year & told me to "go home & go to bed & rest, don't do anything except drink lots of fluids & eat as much healthy food as you feel capable of"
So, obviously, these fluids & healthy things have to get bought so off i trot to the supermarket & haul it back up the hill, which is hardly restful but...anyway, i managed to make some soup & eat it, before dozing off for an hour or so. Then Bou arrived, shattered from the Granny thing. We did some gardening, well, i did & he helped tie things up etc...since it is sunny today for once.
And now i am tired all over again....
