....When you go to the doctors for a prescription review and come away with a suspected cracked rib.

I have to have an annual prescription review so see whether I still need my medication (Duh I'm a diabetic I'm on mediaction for the rest of my life) as a lot of you know I've had a cough since new year and now my ribs hurt when I cough, I mentioned this to the doc and he had a listen to my back and had a prod of my ribs, conclusion I've probably pulled something whilst coughing and more thqan likely cracked a rib.

I wish I knew how I'd cracked it

hope you get rid of this cough anyway. does sound scary tghat you can crack a rib and not know. hopefully it'll heal quickly.

Although i'm pretty sure it happened in bed no not like that, The doc said it didn't take much to crack a rib and a few days ago Masky, my cat, jumped on me, I think that's how it happened

Blame it on a poor innocent cat!


Mind you, if its as heavy as mine, I can see how that can happen!!!

But she's not heavy she's really light but has pointy paws, it's the only thing I can think of that would have cracked it

She had a bad coughing fit and broke 2 ribs! Extremely painful too.

My Great uncle broke a rib sneezing once

For some reason I can't shake off coughs I've had this one since new year anyway I'm still pretty sure it was the cat jumping on me that did my rib I've only been in pain for a week or so and I'm over the violent coughing now

that be why we give people muscle relaxants when we give them ECT, to stop them breaking their own bones

With my coughing fits I guess this could happen again
