who cares as long as there is whiskey in the jar
good job ms. barista
you set the bar mighty high for yourself with this ambitious framework. it's nice to see those ambitions fulfilled. good old fashioned arts and crafts
most people would just pop down to the nearest ikea. i may even have to do so myself but i'm still hoping for the lotto people to come to their senses - and make my numbers come out

IKEA is cheating.
Though they do have perfectly good kitchens, theirs just aren't as entertaining as this one.
We've got corner drawers now.

you are right. having you put in an IKEA-kitchen would not be half the fun
i've had my eye on some of IKEA's kitchen furniture on wheels. seems like a good idea

This kitchen is being built for the ages...

Clever plan, that!
It's going well, even though J was working mostly by himself yesterday. I quite unfairly got banned from my own construction site and sent to my room!
We have the countertops in place now, with the sink in one, though they won't be fastened just yet. We're missing three cabinet doors, five drawers, and three shelves. And the wall panels still have to be painted and hung up, but the laths to nail them to are in place.

so you are close to having the kitchen warming party now?
it is an ancient tradition and if neglected there will forever rest an evil spell on the room
will turn sour
will taste like dust, will catch
all this can be easily avoided by inviting everybody to an open house

It may have something to do with excessive grumpiness, which may have something to do with the fact that I had a fever, which I didn't want to admit to for fear of being sent to my room...
Since I didn't admit to still having a fever today (and didn't shout at anybody ), we did get quite a lot done. New pics uploaded
