I think I saw "Monsieur Hulot's Holiday"
on television at my mother's house.
I used to be about the only person who
watched foreign videos at my local video
store. Gerard Depardieu showed up in a few
of the films I saw, like "Manon of the spring."
I thought he would have been perfect for the
lead role in "Shipping News," but Hollywood
didn't think so.

I never tire of it... although I probably would if I watched it every time it was on.
I don't think I've seen The Shipping News... or even know who's in it or what it's about.

Well, I met a very nice semi-tame one at the bus stop outside Manor House last month... we don't get much wildlife in my bit of London, as you know Gosho.
Squirrels and geese in Finsbury Park and that's about it, apart from the local urban fox, who's looking a bit skinny since they finally introduced wheelie bins in Harringay in November...

Most of the wildlife in Harringay is to be found at the... Queens Head? Is that the name of the pub on Green Lanes at the south end of Duckett's Common?
We just used to call it The Nutty Pub
